Laundramt Loitiering #2

I continued to SNAP! in the nook where my sheets went round and round. Sorry the pic of the round and round was not good enough.

I pondered why this was a quarter because my memory says PENNY bubble gum and I flipped back in time when I used to put 2 to 4 pieces of this in my mouth at one time...

Do any of you remember Dubble Bubble? I loved the gum, I loved the comics. PLUS it was a PENNY... Did you blow bubbles? I popped my bubbles so much I was always in trouble.

Do you still like bubble gum? I do, in a restaurant near us, there is a vintage gum machine, much like this one, the gum is 25 cents, as we leave I always get one and HOPE it will be GRAPE, which is my favorite. Once Bob said, aren't you getting bubble gum? I said "no Quarter' in a whine. He reached in and pulled out a quarter, dropped it in and handed me a grape gum... MY HERO

I am sure most of you remember this, and it is still around

Around here, there is one of those Mary Kay pink Cadillacs that dealers can get when they make umpteen trillon sales. I see it every once in awhile. I LOVED Double Dubble, as opposed to the Bazooka, which everyone else chewed. I blew and blew!! And I love grape. I HAVE bubble gum NOW. I found some called PUR with no aspartame or Splenda in it.

I do remember that bubble gum. I never could blow a bubble no matter how hard I tried. I don't chew gum any more though.
So did you enter to win a free facial? That's a tricky way of getting their foot in the door to find new customers. My sister in law used to sell Mary Kay

Hero Bob saved the day with a grape gumball!! Way to go. I remember getting into trouble chewing gum in high school English class. Of course, the teacher called on me to read right after I popped the stick of gum in my mouth! LOL wish gum chewing was the biggest issue in schools today.

And you may recall there were way less pennies laying around to be found. Like Rodney Dangerfield, in those days they got more respect.

Ohhhhhhhh I remember double bubble but I think I only put one in at a time.
Were jaw breakers bubble gum or candy?
Mary Kay...oh my. I recall once years ago when my cousin who is 15 years older than me was visiting. She brought her own white wash rags for taking the Mary Kay off because it would stain the wash rags she had to use Clorox to get them clean.

Never did get the chewing or bubble gum habit. I'm guessing Mary Kay is something like Avon? I was an Avon rep for ten years. Spent more than I earned! YAM xx

Yes, I remember Dubble Bubble! I promised the quads Bubble Gum when they turned five....sadly you simply can’t find the Bubble gum of the past anymore. What they have today doesn’t even compare. And now I can’t chew gum at all. And I’ve been a life long gum chewer!

Oh my goodness...you sure take me back to Long Ago...
Bubble Gum was always in my mouth...I think that's why my teeth are so bad..(:0(
I too blew bubbles constantly..got some pretty good ones too.
It brings back a memory of my Mom and Dad on a road trip.
To pass the time my Mom popped a piece of bubble gum in her mouth.
It was her first time chewing the mass of goodness.
Dad and I never laughed so hard as her trying to blow a bubble.
Thanks for that fun memory. I haven't thought of it in years.

Yep, I loved blowing bubbles and the popping sound. My mom not so much. lol
We had a lady here in our little town that was a Mary Kay dealer and drove a pink car. She tried her best to get me to sign up as a seller, but I didn't like the products that well.

To this day I love the smell and taste of Double Bubbie but I have stopped myself from chewing gum altogether as the incredients now scare me.

No bubble gum for me anymore. My dentures might get stuck in it. LOL

Hello Sandra!:) I have no memories of Bubble Gum machines in Portugal, although I have seen them in American films, and I never chewed gum, but my kids did. They bought Wigley's spearmint gum. Your hero, made me smile!:)

I have always managed to stay clear of MAry Kay...I'm not a big make up gal! I did chew more than one piece of dubble Bubble at a time tho...and also loved the comics(and blowing big bubbles!)! I still chew and blow bubbles, but stick to the sugar free stuff now.

Ive not seen DoubleBubble in a long time; out here they sell Bazooka. Now, just thinking about it, the backs of my lower jaws are pinging and watering. :)
