I have been having trouble swallowing certain foods. I went this past Monday to the ENT Doctor, by referral from my primary. ALL IS WELL... As is the battery of blood tests ordered by the primary.
I AM FINE, it is normal aging... whoo hoo on that.
Isn't his office beautiful?
I am passing on one thing he told me, if you have trouble swallowing something, be it pills or food, don't tip your head back, tip your head to your chest and swallow.
it works really well for me....
No Pain, Lots of gain... when he said he was going to run a camera down through my nose I was horrified. Did not even feel it.
Today I am at TOPS getting weighed. My weight is dropping by 2 to 6 oz per week, every week and I should reach my goal by end of year..

I love how the one wall of the doctor's office is open to nature! And I have been remembering this tip. I am afraid of forgetting it, so I will put it on the fridge. I threw up a lot for two days, had nothing by mouth for many days, and severe diarrhea. Was on I.V.'s and am still really week. I GAINED ONE pound!!!! My doctor told me long ago that if I kept up yoyo dieting, there would come a time when I would not be able to lose no matter what I did. So maybe this is it. But I am still trying or else I will Gain! So I have to diet just to keep from gaining!!! YOU are amazing!!!
HA....had the camera through the nose before. You don't feel it, which is amazing and GREAT! Great on the weight! You have done amazing on your weight loss!

Yup, my sister's a speech pathologist and she's always on at dad (with Parkinson's) to tip his head forward... it seems counterintuitive, doesn't it?! Glad you got the all clear though. YAM xx
Thankful you are fine and yes, that's a pretty dr.'s office. Love the bright sunshine thru the windows. Congrats on the continued weight loss and great news on reaching your goal this year.
I would have been horrified by the camera down through my nose too. Glad to know you couldn't feel it.
A good tip to know also about swallowing. I wish I could lose weight. I can't even get myself to try and change my diet.
I'm glad you told me that. I have trouble with mixed lettuce leaves now days and wondered why but assumed it was something to do with ageing. Thanks You have saved me a trip to the doctors.
Hello, I will have to remember the swallowing trick. I often have trouble swallowing food and pills. I like the doctor's office looks nice with the windows and view. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Misery (aging)loves company but good (internet connections) in everything bad. I have the miserable swallowing situation from time to time and your post has been informative.
I almost took a similar photo last week but the outside view was nothing to write home about. Yours is soothing which is a good thing for a medical facility.
Glad to hear all is well. I think I'd take a book and sit in the rocking chair for a while whether I had an appointment or not.
Best,
Bonnie
Love, love that glass wall! Glad you had no issues, I lost my Dad, and two Uncles to esophagus cancer so I’m happy you had it checked. What? I wish I knew your secret to your weight loss, I try but just can’t seem to stick with it continuously. I’m proud of you! ~jackie~
I will remember that about pills - thank you - glad all is okay.
You had a great day.
thank goodness all is well and what an interesting piece of advice that I will pass on to our resident train brain. He always tips his head back (not a good pill taker) when taking his pills. That is a very pretty office
Hugs Cecilia
Lots of great news on such a beautiful day! So glad you are in tip top shape!
Phew! so glad you are okay, thought you were ill when I saw the title. All these things are sent to try us and they certainly do when we get older don't they.
I have always dreaded the camera down the throat. Tom had it recently when he was in hospital and like you, he said it was okay. Still doesn't mean I fancy having it done though. lol

What a beautiful doctor's office. It really has a calming effect I'm sure.
Congratulations and kudos to you and your consistent weight loss.
I'm so proud of you.
Glad you are deemed healthy too.
That's an interesting idea on swallowing. It does make sense and I will have to try it.
Getting older is "normal" !!! Sometimes wish it wasn't so difficult though.
A lot of it is just getting into a new mind set and having a more positive outlook.
I am preaching to myself right now.... (:0)
Have a great day Sandra
Oh dear. How sad that swallowing issue is part of aging. You look too young for that.
WHEW!!! ... on that business of swallowing. I'd never heard it being a symptom of aging; and in fact, both of my boss' daughters -- early 20's -- suffer from that.
So glad your tests came back normal ... and mostly, that there's light at the end of the tunnel re. your weight loss journey. Won't the other ladies at TOPS be glad not to have to compete with you any longer? LOL!
That is a lovely view from the doctor's office.
Way to go on your weight loss. You should be so happy with yourself. Thanks for the info on swallowing. Glad all is well with you.
That is a beautiful doctor's office! I have had the same issue since I had 4 vertebrae in my neck fused. The hardware holding them together is bulky, and I can't swallow well. Thanks for the tip (no one told me that before)!
Congrats on your weight loss. Slow and steady wins the race!
Glad to read thatball is well, Sandra, and thanks too for the swallowing tip. It was a beautiful view from the doctor’s office and the temos sould wonderful too especially since we had several hours of snow flurries on Friday when I posted this comment😕
I might be tempted to go to that office and just sit and read...
glad all is well. You are doing so good on your weight loss!
