Jeepers Creepers

Each morning, the sun comes up behind our neighbors house and I wait to see what I will see that I did not see before.. The sun paints something new every day.

How much time do you spend in your yard?

I am in and out, in and out with Jake, we can't leave him in the yard alone now... my total is maybe an hour a day sometimes more, Bob spends maybe 3 hours a day in the backyard.

Virginia Creeper gone wild

Which Roman Numeral can climb a fence? IV.

Avocado Branch against the sky, no a cloud in sight that day. I added PicMonkey sky to it in below shot
Hello, Sunshine......….You are all my sol-mates!

Remember, when you can't find the sunshine, BE the sunshine!

So gorgeous!! God's light show! The first two pictures are my favorites. Virginia Creeper in Florida, that's a new one on me. But I guess ANY kind of Creeper would grow in Florida!

I like that quote: Be the sunshine! You always brighten my day with your puns, nature pics and kind comments. I am sorry Jake is not well.

Hello,

Does the Virginia Creeper have berries? We have some kind of vine that has berries the birds love. I think we will see sunshine today, YAY!
Pretty view of the sky! Have a happy day!

I like the avocado branch against the sky but the pic monkey sky you added makes it look so much better.
I don't spend much time out in the yard any more. I used to spend a lot of time outside but it's gotten to the point where the heat just gets to me so easy so it's not as enjoyable any more.

I think...depending on the temps, I spend a tad over an hour in the mornings but once the temps start to drop more I will be hanging on the deck more. Lily is not going to be fond of the colder weather and the stopping of deck time in the winter. Thanks for the comments on Jake, let’s me know what to look for...

Sun is glorious and so many different pictures it paints.
I spend as little time as possible in the back yard. Ok out there in the am but as soon as the mosquitoes wake up I'm inside.I'm allergic to Mosquito bites and anything with Deet in it. I have some gentler bug repellents but they are only good for as long as it takes me to change birder feeders.

No yard, but I've spent some time this week taking in furniture etc from my balcony, preparing for the autumn/winter storms... One is predicted for tomorrow... I'll have to leave some of my plants though, just hoping for the best (they're standing on the floor next to the rail on the west and hopefully will be somewhat protected from the westerly winds by that) I'll take in my small geraniums tonight though.

I try to spend time out in the yard every few days. No pets eliminates the need for daily outings. No fruit this year so we didn't get out there as much. We try to trim the crazy vines that grow almost a foot every day or two...to get them in the green waste and before the lawn guys come on Fridays.
I was looking at our big tree in the front of our house yesterday. Not a single leaf has changed color yet. The neighbors has already begun.
I'm so sorry your Jake isn't doing well.
I hope you can find someone to go with you for the reenactment in Oct.
I love those kinds of things and find the docents and volunteers so interesting and fun to talk to.
Temps are suppose to go back up to 90+ today...guess that's why the leaves aren't turning yet.

Beautiful photos! I'm waiting for some cooler weather so I can start spending more time in my yard. It's just too hot right now!

I don't spend nearly as much time in our yard as I should. Heck, we don't even have mosquito's! Since Mark has retired I am outside more often.

Some days several ours outside in broken segments. Some days not one second. It's all about the varying temps and conditions in Western P A; quite unpredictable but the meteorologists never give up trying.

.... as little as possible! I've never been one for the great outdoors to begin with, and these Alabama skeeters are something else. Love what you said about the sun painting a different picture every day!

PS -- Did you catch Heidi Klum on last eve's AGT, talking about how she loves puns?

Those sunlit leaves are so pretty.

These are beautiful! My favorite kind of photos, sunlight and shadows through leaves.
