Joining Yamani in her blog hop for the Festival of lights.
my photos from the past that used light
In Memory of my best friend Rich, who brought light into my life with his friendship for 9 years.
Rich taught me how to do his name in Fire in Photoshop as my first project and fanned the flame of friendship and fanned my desire to learn all the tricks of edits done in Photoshop bringing me here now with these creations.

This was a very enlightening post. I thought maybe you were working on creating new headers for the blog.
I'm glad your friend Rich taught you all the tricks. Without him you might not have started blogging and I wouldn't have the pleasure of knowing you
Light is one of the main elements of photography after all the word means painting with light.

Oh....so sorry for the loss of your friend. I understand that feeling.
I know you miss your friend Rich. I'm sure he knows it too and your honoring him here today. Love these incredible light photos!!
This post lit up my morning, Sandra, and what a nice tribute to the memory of good times with your friend, Rich.
These are all great images, Sandra.... but the first one of the burning matchstick? WOW. That one speaks to me on so many levels.
What a blessing you and Rich were to one another! This reminds me of a favorite verse from my Flavia book: "Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same."
Beautiful post Sandra and a wonderful tribute to your friend.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! And you know I am all about light! This is perfect, and a wonderful blog memorial to Rich. I never even knew him, but still think of him once in awhile!! So that must say a lot about him. I scrolled through again to choose my favorites, and can't do it, there are too many. Is this Culvers? I love it, Rich's fiery name, and your nook.
What lovely lights today Sandra, I remember reading about Rich...and how many wonderful things you learned from him!
I do remember many previous posts featuring Rich. A good friend is worth so much.
I remember Rick and I am glad he was in your life because you blog and I know he is glad that you were in his life.
A lovely tribute to Rich. He would be pleased that you're still working on the photo techniques he taught you and sharing beautiful images with your blog friends. They give you and all of us much pleasure.
I remember when he passed away. ((HUGS))
Haven't seen to much of you and your fire in a long time!
