Throwback Thursday 2

THIS IS A REPOST FROM 2011... a few of you were interested in the house I posted this past Thursday in Throwback Thursday. This is a Post Archive Dive.

The Village of the Arts is a  community of artists living and working together in Bradenton, Florida. The Village is Florida’s largest art community and over 30 businesses call the Village home.

Galleries, studios, cafes, healing arts, jewelry, fashion and books can all be found as you wander the streets of this charming area of restored 1920's and 30's cottages. Located just south of downtown

The Village ArtWalks are the first weekend of every month:  Fri. 6 - 9:30pm & Sat. 11am - 4pm

I love them ALL. They are like fairy tale houses. No, even better. No one but an artist could have painted them like this. The first one is just TOO cute!! And the next one, the yellow with aqua trim and purple fence, those PORCHES!!!! If I were to live n one of these, I would not change the color one bit. Wish I could have the vision to paint our house like these.

Isn't it amazing the emotion just a few coats of paint can evoke??

These are so like the homes in parts of Australia - the little green one not too different from what my own was... and am totally in love with that yellow one! YAM xx

What a fun neighborhood with all the colorful houses. If I lived there I would do the ArtWalk every month just to look at the houses and see all the wonderful things they make.

Hello, I love all the colorful houses. It looks like a happy place to live.
I would like to go on the art walk too. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead.

I love all the bold and bright colors.
I once heard a fashion designer say if you see the colors in nature, i.e.
flowers, trees, they are appropriate to wear in clothes. The only thing I cannot wrap my head around is stripes and plaids and polka dots together.

Yikes on the hair dryer.

Not sure when that will be, but I'm definitely putting this on my 'to-do' list next time I'm down your way!!! 'Jus hope the cafes serve something more substantial than tofu, kale, etc. (*smile*).

These houses look wonderful with all the bright colors, Sandra. Thanks for the comment on my post today and correcting that what I thought were ostriches are flamingos, even though I still fail to see the connection with V-day.

I think the people who live in this neighborhood must be such fun loving free spirits! I wonder if they dress as colorfully as their houses??
