I think the last banana split I ate was a lifetime ago. As a child on our summer road trips to Sarasota, my dad had a tradition of stopping in St. Petersburg to get banana splits at a place called Wolfies. Years later when I moved to Florida I tried to find that old restaurant, to no avail.
I haven't had a banana split for years either.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather...think I overdid it prepping and serving dinner with my Hubby and our head guy Kevin. We served tri tip and chicken terriaki with rice, green salad for 500.
It was a lot of meat to slice! I think it was about 50 tri tips...and I don't even know how many chicken breasts we chopped for the other dish. Love serving but it sure takes me longer to recoup...
One perk to all the work we do is we get to bring home leftovers...So we have dinner for a few nights...yummm
