That's Not All She Wrote

While digging through a JUNK drawer, I found the pen you see above. The SL stands for Staff Leasing, which is the company I retired from in 2006. About this pen. IT STILL WRITES and write perfectly. The box I found on internet. The Cross Pen and Mechanical Pencil set was an award for a job well done in 1994. I gave the pencil to a friend who would use it and kept the pen. I have never replaced the cartridge and can't believe it still writes.  This was before INTERNET and we USED a pen to write with at work.
I ran a search for Pen Puns and laughed myself silly. Jump on over to Jive Jokes and laugh like I did. below are two that I found there.

That's All She Wrote.... heh heh heh...…….. see you tomorrow..... I hope.

Truly unbelievable!! I believe that nowadays, you could not find a pen like this. People manufacture things to go bad quickly,so you have to keep buying more.

I have a cross pen & pencil set. But, I have no idea where they are. Most likely in one of my billfolds...which are scattered all over and around here, somewhere.

Wow, I knew that Cross made good pens but I didn't know they were that good. I've bought pens that the ink was dried up before I ever even wrote with them.

Hello,

I am glad you kept the pen. It must be a good one to still write. Love the puns. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

That's such a cool gift! This reminds me, one of my high-school friend's hubby manufactures(?) custom wooden pens. Don't imagine I could/would afford one, but I'm going to ask Cindy what cartridges Bear uses.

Giggling over these toons! Happy Monday!

Too cute.
I love the puns.
That's one great pen..Cross is a good product.
I finally had to throw out some ball point pens from the 1990's last week.
They were cheapies but I really liked the way they wrote. Went to use one the other day and it finally gave up the ghost along with several more.
It was hard to get rid of them...it said...the end of an era of work for me.

Very funny! Thanks for the laughs. I was doing a little clearing out today and came across a whole pile of old photos. Stopping my clearing out immediately as hubs and I looked through them and reminisced. Will try again tomorrow :)
