Microfiber Sheets

An email arrived in 2016 from Amazon, microfiber sheets at a REALLY GOOD price. ONE CLICK BUY and they appeared. Black, because Burgundy was out of stock. Bob fell in love with them. Light weight, cool in summer, warm in winter.

After 3 years of strip bed, wash/dry/replace on bed. I GOT ANOTHER EMAIL..

This Time Burgundy is in stock. I need a second set, it is a Fantastic Buy... ONE CLICK BUY, they appear here the next day.

The Shocker was...………
when I clicked to buy them,  TOTAL OWED was $ 3.39..
I had POINTS I did not know I had.
What do songwriters compose in bed? Sheet Music
And then someone comes along and does a Cover..
Heh heh Heh
Do you use points on your charge cards?
Do you charge? Do you order from Amazon?
What type sheets do you LOVE? mine used to be Cotton Percale

I think Percale is a mixture of cotton and poly. I have not been able to find any in years. Probably I could on Amazon though. We discovered the jersey kind, like T-shirt material. We love them. They never get cold in winter and are comforting. I love Amazon and order from them a lot. Right now, they have given us a month free of Prime!! I just got a new toaster oven from them.

I am one of Amazon's biggest fans and buyer too!!! My problem is Kelly and I share and she gets the points.
Anyhow I like the Egyptian Cotton with a high thread count.

My sheet are the microfiber ones. I have 2 sets, one on the bed and the other is in the wash then the linen closet until I'm ready to change them.
I haven't ordered anything from amazon in a long time. In the past I did order occasionally but not often. I don't have points at least not that I'm aware of :)

I do use Amazon, but not exclusively. I bought sheets and covers/pillow slips from a UK company called Wayfair recently and they have been wonderful. Cotton only for me. YAM xx

Hello,

The microfiber sheets sound really nice. I think I just have cotton sheets, I use another type in the winter, they feel warmer. I have not ordered from Amazon in a while. I did not know they had a point system. Have a happy day!

I like a certain kind of cotton that is very hard to find...they always feel cool to thectouch when you first touch them, and do not cling to pjs...it is hard to describe. But they feel like the cotton percale sheets that JCPenneys used to carry in the 1970s and a bit later. I would love to have those again. Other places hadwhat they called percale, but they were not as nice.

Amazon savedny bacon when i had my accident! I started ordering thingsi had never irdered and still do.

I love new sheets and how neat that you had points to pay for most of it! We use AZ and love having points to get things on our wish list. Not sure what our sheets are...they aren't new. Let us know how you like these! Happy snoozing!

We use Amazon and have a shared Prime account and so each get points for individual purchases. It seems to take awhile to accumulate a significant amount using the Amazon credit card and/or buying online. That said we do use them but generally wait until there’s is a significant balance. Our sheets are always cotton and bought from Bed Bath & Beyond most times as the store always has sales and 20% discount coupons too😀

You won't believe this but we use flannel sheets year round. We love them. Yes I buy from Amazon all the time. I have an Amazon Prime Credit card which gives me money back so I do use those dollars when they are available.

I love fresh sheet day....if I wasn't a lazy bum I'd change them every day but that is not practical. LOL

Woo-hoo … what a score! Of course I've heard of them, but never owned micro-fiber. Seriously, they're COOL in summer? I need! Well, no. I don't NEED new sheets … like you, I launder and put right back on the beds. Still, I'm going to look out for a sale … even something at an estate sale.

Out of order, but here you go: What do I love? Dan River percale. (Except I can no longer find it.) Since Amazon raised their Prime membership I dropped them like a rock and began using Wal-Mart's free shipping. Before we set up our new bank accounts I never considered using my VISA to accumulate points; but yes. I charge practically everything, and was able to redeem my points last year for a big part of my Christmas gift-giving.

I’m a big fan of Egyptian cotton. For whatever reason I don’t like The microfiber ones. You have one set of sheets?? Now two!! I have two places I keep sheets. The bottom of the guest room closet hold the spring and summer ones and the top of the hall denim closet hold the flannel ones. I intend to purge some of those this summer. I shop for sheets at Hoodwill for my quilt backings. The one I’m sewing today is silky soft and is going to feel so good. Soft cool silk like fabric next to your skin and medium weight denim on the top. Perfect for a TV quilt of a picnic. I do not use flannel for the backs. Did that once and the grass stuck to it so bad I like to never got it all off!

Wow, what a great deal and I'm going to start looking at those points. Thanks for the reminder Sandra.

I used to look for 100% cotton, now I have micro fibre and love them. I found mine at Walmart, but then I have not looked at Amazon. Yes, my credit card collects points which I can turn into cash on the card. LOVE IT.

I will shock you all: When the Vermont Country Store catalog advertised cotton sheets, just like those that hung on grandma's clothes lines, I ordered them immediately at about $110.00. Why so crazy? Because I have missed my childhood sheets, made of hard, crisp cotton. They have this kind of cotton in Mexico too -- we got some pillow cases from there when we got married. I think Ikea carries them in Sweden, but not here, because everyone has to have that high threadcount which does nothing for me.

I absolutely love the feel of percale sheets but can't find them any longer either. Sears and Pennys were my go to places.
I have several sets from Costco which are high count bamboo thread. We love the feel of them...cool in summer and warmer in winter.
shop from Amazon too but not often. I find I spend my money too fast that way..it's just too easy to buy for me.
Good for you to score such a deal from your points...way to go.
