Stitches are out, Bob can swim today. Yay!
Not so Yay! the 4 inch of skin had zero clear margins.
Another Yay! it is Melanoma In Situ which means, skin only
stage zero. Has not spread anywhere. Is not anywhere but thin skin. None showing any where but very thin top of skin.
Our 3 options.
1. enlarge the 4 inch even bigger (more surgery, and still might not be clear) she suggested a no on this one
2. go to MOHS and see how far it extends
3. watch it once a year to see if it comes back.
We will talk with the Dermatologist that sent us to the surgeon on the 25th, and see what he has to say, but are 99 % sure we will do the watch and wait... Surgeon agreed that at age 83 this is a good choice. zero is very low risk, 5 to 10 years if nothing done.

Good news!!! Something is going on with your text, it is almost too faint to read. BUT maybe it is on my end.
This is fantastic!
Yeah, fantastic news

Hooraah!! YAM xx
That’s great news.
YAY, congrats on the good news! Have a happy day!
I sometimes think the stress of what-ifs and maybes are what will get us in the end.
Mixed reaction for Bob. No immediate danger; yet not gone. Hoping the former outweighs the latter.
I guess that's good news and not so good news. It would have been better to hear that there was no more cancer, but this sounds like it is not terribly serious right now. Do what you have to do, so you can both go on enjoying each day.
Another worry over for you both.

Yes, go on and live each day to the fullest. Bob can swim to his hearts content...and maybe you can push back the worry and get on with living.
That is good news and I pray it says that way. I think watch and wait is the best plan for now. Enjoy swimming Bob!!
Interesting info. I'm SO happy for the 3 of you!
I'm so glad that Bob can go back to his swimming and being his old self again. (:0)
Hoping that your stress level will get back to normal again too.
Have a good day, Friend.
Bob owes you a great big TOPS meal for insisting that this be checked over...
Wonderful news.
Hugs Cecilia
Fantastic news for both of you.
I am in U.K. with Buddy and Hubby at moment for kids first and 3rd birthday.
Sounds like things went well, hurray!!
All good news! I admit to feeling concerned and have been praying diligently about that cancer! But he needs more than 5-10 years! Let’s go for at least 17! Louis Dean and I tell each other all the time - “this just has to last us about 20 years! “
THAT IS FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think about the MOH procedure as a back up. Just a thought.
Hope the good news continue.
Coffee is on
Thanks for the update, Sandra, and bet that Bob is happy to get back to his favorite things.
Yay! Bob gets to swim again...I bet he will enjoy that. I think watch and wait sounds like a good idea. Hugs
So glad to read this good news. I had one too like that or even less. I now go every six months and am supposed to check myself in between. So I will let this be a reminder to do that. So happy for you and Bob.
