Whats on Your Bed?

I love monochrome. There are 4 shades of burgundy on our bed. the spread that matches the valance weighs 800 pounds and is stored away. I got tired of fighting it.  The subject matter today is PILLOWS! Bob makes fun of me every night when we go to bed. (shades caused by 2 sets each King, Queen, Regular Pillow cases bought at various times)

What's on your bed,
What's under your head?
If your bed was seen,
what's your color scheme?

This KING bed has Two Sheets, Eight Pillows and Eight pillow cases. One oh so soft fleece blanket, very thin and clingy and easy to flap in the air...

Bob owns ONE pillow!
The rest are MINE

Two KING Prop Up Behind the Back Pillows (watch TV, read, laptop)
Two under the head, the black one goes on top of the flattest bed pillow, the 2 together make it the just the right height. (on my back sleep)
Two  for under arms, under knee for lying on my side to sleep.
Number 7 is the travel pillow in black n white polka dots. (under head to do leg exercise on end of bed, hold my kindle on tummy while reclining etc)
The laughing and teasing from Bob is the routine I go through each night when he turns the light off.
2 Kings thrown on chair, 2 under my head, one under knees first, the one under arms.. It is a sight.

Lets hear about your bed.....

Yikes, you've got it DOWN (pun intended). I have one pillow for my head, and Phil has two. And that's it! I love your beautiful burgundies! They look so rich and expensive!

Love your colour scheme. I often wondered why people had so many pillows. Now I know. We only have two each. Two for reading and one for sleeping. We have a thin doona and a sheet. Today I took off the thick fleecy blanket. Spring is here already.I have a cute soft fleecy dog lying on the bed. Sometimes Bill and I have fun putting him into different poses and places when the other person is out of the room.

Routine is important. I just go the simple sheet and doona with two, fairly flat, pillows. Unless I want to read when I might roll one of those pillows to make a bolster... YAM xx

A comforter, six pillows, stuffed animal, & afghan...all topped with a two tiered bookshelf full of books.

I have a sheet, a worn out comforter and a single pillow on each side of the bed. I use one pillow when I'm laying on my left side and I use the other when I roll over and lay on my right side

When I try to sleep with Roger it is one pillow each and when by myself in the other bed Lorelei and I sleep in. I have one on my side and there are three on her side...I keep an extra pillow down beside the bed in case I start having reflux. Or in case I want to lay and read.

Hello,

I have lots of pillows too. I buy them and find out they make my neck hurt even more. I have not found a pillow that is perfect. I also have the two sheets, blanket and a comforter. Enjoy your day, happy weekend!

I have a lot of pillows too, both in/on my bed and on my living room sofa - all kinds and sizes to be used for different purposes, when needed... :) The colour scheme in my bedroom varies. The walls and furniture and curtains are all neutral in beige-white-grey. So I add/change colour with duvet covers and bedspreads etc. Tend to use more blue/green in summer and more red in winter.

I lightened things up on my bed this summer too. We each have a queen size pillow and a small pillow, sheets (that I washed yesterday) and a lightweight blanket. That's all right now! Take care as this hurricane comes. We are preparing. Let's pray it goes farther out to sea! Lots of hugs, Diane

Funny that I am reading this post as just 30 mins ago I stripped my bed! haha....right now on my bed is NOTHING but the mattress'! However, let me go on to answer your questions~
What's on your bed, Mattress'
What's under your head? when I am in bed I have a very soft pillow
If your bed was seen, right now I am using a comforter that is factory made quilt look. I have four pillows that are there for sleeping on when I wake and decide to fight with pillows cause I can't get comfortable. Also, once made the bed has TWO more pillows with shams to match the spread and a few throw pillows.
what's your color scheme? right now brown. However I have a gray and purple set that mom bought me a couple of yrs ago to put on the bed, I will not use it till I get the carpet up, floor laid and repaint.

Oh MS you know I love the color of your bedspread....
My spread is the one featured with Madi on it..quilted from Walmart.
It kinda was my inspiration to try quilting.
I have 2 throw pillows, 2 shams....both put in the chair by the bed
one pillow for my head. I toss a lot so no leg pillows.
Hugs and prayers to all in Dorian's path...

You made me laugh with your description of the weight of your spread. 800 pounds...(:0)
That's the way mine feels when the weather is too hot.
Then ours is folded and away for the summer .
We just have our top and bottom sheet.
One "My Pillow" each...and there you have it.
Company times or wintery times we have one thermal blanket and the spread, plus our sleeping pillows and 2 king size pillow shams.
The colors are ivory and shades of minty green.
The spread is getting pretty worn so soon it will be time to get something new...a California King can be pretty pricey so it may take a while.

Wow! Your sleeping haven does have a distinctive personality. What is on our queen-sized bed is not intentional. I haven't been able to say goodby yet to my late mother's comforter. It is deep blue with the edges of the bed sporting a rust-colored border that encloses cream, almost khaki background to pinkish flowers and green leaves. Not my style, but its age and wear are beginning to show. Goodbye won't be painful anymore. I have begun looking for a solid color. So far, nothing has flipped my wanna-buy switch.

Grrr…. I'm SO cross. Our stupid internet has been in and out all day; and I just lost my comment.

ANYway. I LOVE your color scheme -- probably because it's the same as ours.:) And yep, I can identify with the 800-lb. comforter. Except we haven't as many pillows. Do you, like me, rotate in the middle of the night, in search of a cooler pillowcase?
On account of Tom's lung issues, he can no longer lay flat; and has taken to sleeping in his recliner. So! I've reverted to the year 2000 and moved to the guest room housing my favorite furniture. The spread and shams are a deep purple with forest green. Ironic, on account the pre-existing window treatments match perfectly.

I love your colors and your room! I spied things on your wall!!!
I have lots of pillows everywhere. In our bedroom we each have a sleeping pillow that I pull the sheets up and over them when I make the bed up. Then there are 10 pillows - all in white shams - five on each side. Then I have six small pillows in front of them. Then the bed tray is sitting at the food of the bed catty cornered. There's also two small pillows beside Louis Dean's side of the bed that cover the flashlights. I have one small one at my side of the bed that sit on top of a pretty box that holds creams, ear plugs, emory boards, scented linen sprays - I spray scent every night and every morning - (You could not handle that!! I KNOW!) Finally there is a Live Laugh Love pillow on the corner chair under the AC!
What a fun post, Sandra!! I loved reading everyone's answers!!
OH! Under our bed is where I keep some of my shoes in plastic under-the-bed containers! Over our bed is a big mirror - with debris hanging above it!

I use two pillows. Mark uses one pillow. I breathe better elevated and I also have to sleep on my stomach. I like lightweight quilts and I tend to lean towards light green, maybe a celery color.

I would get lost among so many pillows. I have a top sheet, a thin comforter and one pillow.I winter when it's cold, I also have a heating pad and a heated rice bag at my feet.
