we have all of the above, just so you know. |
Update on the Bissell Sweeper. I neglected details of why we have this outdated sweeper.
Bob and I do our floors every Saturday AM at 5.
I sweep tile floors, he vacs the carpets and mops the tile. I clean the glass top tables and sliding glass doors.
I have a small rechargable hand held vac, that pics up dog hairs I sweep up with the broom.
Bob has been VacMopMan for about 20 years now due to the fact I have a bad back.
He rather do that then listen to me moan in pain the next 2 days.
The roller Bissell was bought in 2017 when Bob had a stroke and for about 8 weeks could not use the vacuum.
I swept, mopped and Bissel Swept the carpet. This worked fine because the MAN was not able to MESS as much as normally.
I got the idea for the sweeper from watching the waitress roller sweep crumbs from under a table after the children left.
If you know me, you know I bought the Bissell at Wal-Mart.
Now we have 4 brooms, 2 vacs and a Sweeper.
Now if there was only an APP that could do all of it.

We have a big Dyson vac, and a small rechargeable one. And a lightweight electric stick vac for the kitchen. A couple brooms and a plug in hand held.
You have trained the man well. I hate using any of those things. I don't clean as often as I used to when I had a big house. I'm lucky to have home helot clean the carpets, tiles , the bathrooms and the kitchen. I do the dusting and outside areas sometimes.
I also have a "VacMopMan" at home!
And that feels so good! :)
You two have a great routine. I'm the mop lady. Bud's the vac-u-man. Isaiah is the snoopervisor.

Routines are good. Until they are interrupted. YAM xx
Hello,
I use the sweeper and vacuum here, hubby does the mopping. Unless we have the grand-dogs visiting we do not have the pet hair. Have a great day!
I had two husbands and neither one of them swept, vacuumed or mopped. I only have one broom and it's getting pretty worn out. I have two stick vacuums, one with cord and one cordless but I don't use either.
I have about as many duster thingies as you have brooms
So many places I can't get to high and low, I have long handled things for ceiling over the stairs, one that reaches base boards and then for the fan blades and an upstairs and downstairs vacuum so I don't have to take one up and down

When I went to work full time I discovered 'it' doesn't need done nearly as much I thought it did. And when I retired I discovered 'it' can 'wait until tomorrow'.'It' gets done in a timely matter but in no particular order these days.
We have an upright vacuum with upholstery hose on board; a hand held with all the features of the upright for small or quick needs; a broom; a swiffer; and a Stanley dustmop.
The dustmop was my mother's. She probably got it 50 years ago and it is still in great condition. Does anyone remember the door to door Stanley arrangement?
I need the bissel sweeper. Nice Bob helps you like that. I like a clean floor too.
Y'all are a 'Dream Team'! So fortunate that Bob doesn't mind helping out. Oh, Tom would if I were to ask … but then, he might ask me to help in the yard. Noooooo ….!!!
I always think about one of the ones like restaurants use...I have a Dyson I love for carpet...not so much for the linoleum...and have a hand held shark...
We love our Dyson...but also have a dirt devil and broom. You can never have enough "pick em up" tools when you have dogs LOL!

Knowing you Sandra...if there was an app for that you would have figured it out long ago!!
I think your home must be the most Spic and Span house on the whole state of Florida.
Ours has suffered since we have both been sick. At least there has been no one but the two of us seeing it. Anyway Dave and I have our own jobs to do and eventually it gets done.
I love how you can make something interesting out of the very mundane.
Brought the Riccar home from the vacuum cleaner hospital yesterday. Parked it in the living room. Dog barked at it, even though I wasn't vacuuming, so I put it away. Hope I remember to take it out of the closet and use it now that it's just been through rehab.
You are well prepared and how very nice you and Bob have this great combo cleaning team :)
Hey, wish we could get in that regular routine. If you discover the do-all-of-it-APP, please let us know. Of course, with all the news about robots in Walmart and other businesses and industries, we all may have our own Cleaning Maid/Man! Ironic that we now have to prove we are not robots before our comments will post!
You definitely have a lot of equipment. I like that you do it every Saturday. Ours don't get done that often but we also don't have a shedding dog. Mark is helping with the floors because I can't do them anymore.
