The Simple Life

I don't mean to make sweeping generalizations, but all brooms are pretty much the same!

But not my Bissel. I love it! It sweeps by person power, just roll it back and forth, if the power is out, use the time to sweep. Need exercise? sweep the whole house with it... Do you have one?
We use brooms for sweeping, upright vacuum for the carpets. This is for in between and sweeping up dog/man crumbs between Saturdays, which is when we do the floors together. Me on the broom, Bob on the Vac.
A little PHUN for you..
A chimney sweep called in sick to work! He had a touch of the flue.

A guy calls a chimney sweep to get his chimney cleaned. The sweep checks it out and then says he can do the job for $1,200. "TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!" the guy shouts. "For that much I'll do it myself." The sweep chuckles and says "Okay soot yourself "

Funny jokes! I grew up with one of these! But have not had one since I got married. We either use vacuums or brooms or a Swiffer with a paper towel attached.

I have a Dyson ... find the differences! LOL

Hello,

I have a Shark sweeper that runs on a battery. I just have to make sure it is charged. Love the funnies.. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week ahead.

We force ourselves to clean floors & carpeting on weekends. A chore no-one likes. Mop & vacuum for us.

Writing of chimney sweeps made me laugh. Years ago when we had open coal fires, Tom thought he'd save a bit of money and sweep the chimney him self. He borrowed the kit from a friend and got the brush stuck up the chimney, he literally spent the whole day trying to get it down, bent forks etc were sent up to try to hook it. I took the kids out for the day and when we got home he was still at it, lol
He did get it down eventually but never attempted to sweep the chimney again.

Soot yourself - you are so funny.
Did you get your Bissel at Walmart or Amazon?

"Soot yourself!" That's a good one!
I LOATHE doing floors so much. (Gimme any other chore and I won't complain.) We've a light-weight Bissell for 'everyday', an upright Oreck for carpets and Swifter … so you'd think our home is always clean. Ha!
I got my son and DIL a Rumba for Christmas. They NEED it; I don't. But, I still want one.

Well done Sandra
I went thru several of the sweepers when Angel Madi was here.
I kept one by her box...The Diva was a tad messy cause she had STAFF of one
me. They were the best in the world for getting up scattered litter

I think I had something like it a long time ago - but I don't have it any more, so I guess at some point I decided it was not working for me. Can't remember now! I also had one with a battery but with time the battery died and would not recharge, and I haven't got another one after that...

We used a carpet sweeper when I was young plus a vac.
Its great for small pick ups.
In fact there is one out in our garage right now...It was Dave's folks. Doesn't work very well so we thought we could sell it as vintage.
I use our HEAVY Bissell vac for the house or rather I like to have Dave do it. The thing is just too heavy to do the whole house.
Swifter comes in handy for the tile floors, especially when company is coming.
Love the puns today. Thanks for my giggle.

I used to have something like a Bissel, but now have a Dyson StickVac which is rechargeable. I love and have not really used a broom since I got it, or my full size vacuum cleaner .

LOL love the jokes. I looked at those sweepers and almost bought one once but then ended up not getting it.

Recently daughter gave me a vacuum cleaner she no longer needed. I tried it out the other night---dust flew all over the place. The dust bag was STUFFED!! I don't think she emptied the bag during all the 5 years she had the thing. Took it to the vacuum cleaner doctor yesterday. He cleaned it up and installed a new belt. Took Picked it up today. That's service!
