On the Bright Side

While exercising in the pool with my friends, a new man came and walked to the wall, all the lanes were full. As he stood staring and deciding what to do......

I said   "You can use the lane against the rope, we will stay out of your way. We always share lanes"

He smiled and said "Thank you" I love your accent, where are you from?"

Savannnahhhh Georrrgia I sang in Georgia Speak...

He said I KNEW IT! Georgia...

You may all call me Scarlet Ohara from now on.... (sorry if you are young or from another country and are not familiar with Gone With the Wind and Scarlet from Georgia.

I sound JUST LIKE HER,, also we are true LOOK A LIKES.😜

G'morning Scarlett :)
Great fun, this video clip. I'm the world's worst accent detector, but I'll bet that comment from new guy made your day. Little things mean a lot, don't they?

It is not only your accent, I have always loved the sound and tone of your voice, it is so beautiful. And full of kindness, not vanity like Scarlett's.

Okay Scarlet Ohara - I loved you in the movies! lol

I am shocked because I came to realize that I have never watched or read Gone With the Wind in its entirety.
I do love your soft accent and kind heart. Not like the self centered Scarlett.

Today is a new day....

Yup, noticed that striking resemblance right away, Sandra, especially that southern accent.

"I'll think about that tomorrow" is the quote that comes first to mind for me from Scarlett and Gone With the Wind... :) I've seen the movie a few times and also read the book way back in my teens. I remember borrowing the book at the library in my home town (I lived in a village outside town in those days); it was big as a Bible and also looked like a Bible in that each page was divided into two columns. I'd never seen a novel printed like that before (nor very many since, I think!).
