Green Man

A few weeks back, someone commented that Bob looked like the Green Man and wanted to know if I knew who Green man was. Why yes, I did and he really could be a green man . See below different creations of Green Man.

With enforced isolation, for weeks now, I have been so bored, I jumped on the Green Man thing right away...

I was so bored I decided to test the holes in my ears to see if lack of wearing earrings let them close up. I AM SAFE. they were fine and now every few days I put a pair on and take them off.

I also may have recalibrated the bathroom scale a couple of times, looking for things to do...

Below snip of faces is from Bing Search and this info is from Wikipedia HERE

The Green man signifies new growth in the spring. Bob was hacking down bushes, and they did grow back quickly.

I have never ever heard of the Green Man! So now have learned something big! And Bob does look like that. Your remaking of him is fabulous!!! He looks like a folk legend.

We learned about Green Man at school - all tied in with maypoles and such like... and Bob makes a fine model for him!!! Also, you are not the only one looking for things to do. Even though am very tired, I still need to keep my hands busy, else mischief this way may come! YAM xx

I'm glad that my original comment about Bob looking like the Green Man, a sculpture of a man surrounded by greenery, led you to find some more images for your collage. I can't imagine with your camera in hand and technical skills that you can get bored especially when you use your photo editing programmes. Your blog friends are never bored with what you post, but I know what you mean about the health crisis situation - that's frustrating and difficult to cope with. Keep up the good work Sandra.

I have several green men in my garden, on the shed and wall but none as lovely as Bob, he makes the best green man ever.
I LOVE IT

Your Bob is too alive to be moldy & green.

I never heard of the green man unless you count Mr Yuck. Do you remember the Mr Yuck stickers way back when and the saying Mr Yuck is mean, Mr Yuck is green?

Good likeness (lol) I know about the Green Man from British context, I think.

The Green Man … I love him every spring again and again!
I mean my Green man not yours … LOL
Sweetheart, my name is Ella (from Ella Fitzgerald, you know!) and not Etta (from Etta James!)
But I'm glad I have a new godmother who has given me such a beautiful name!
Thank you! ♥️

LOL MS I too got kinda worried about the pierced hole in my ears. Whew glad to say mine are fine. They've been pierced since I was about 27 so hopefully they are permanent.

Green man on the bottom left is Bob's twin

Ps...loved your comment on my blog today. Driving off a cliff, etc. made me laugh.

Also, showed Bud your edit of Bob and he liked it...said "It's near marblesque."

I never heard of Green Man, either! Love this edit, but I'm still going with the God Neptune. :)
Uh-oh. I can't remember when was the last time I wore earrings; probably when we were in Birmingham for Tom's procedure. Soon as I hit 'publish' I'd better go try. Never thought about recalibrating my bathroom scales!

I am on the move again whenever the guy at the gates says. You can go.
Sid has been moved three hours away to a long-term Home. He was taken by Paramedics. He was called for a bed . Take it or leave it and wait years to be excepted. I am still in Lindsay but thank goodness I can talk and see him on Facetime. Till I can go live near him. One good thing he is near his family.
So I have to get something near to his Long-term Care. Then I will be blessed. Only problem. I need another prayer. Most waits are three years wait . Boohoo.

I have no idea who is the Greenman only my tin with the green can of peas. So I am laughing already. Your a card. Wow you did a good job on Bob. Still laughing.

Hmmm...recalibrating the scale???
Hang in there Sandra, you will come through this with flying colors.
I do wear my earrings every day. It's just part of my morning routine of facing the DAY.
It makes me feel dressed and ready to go...even if it's only out to the kitchen and then to my "Office" ie...dining room table.
Now it's time for a second cup of coffee and trying to figure out how to download an illusive photo to do a new blog post.

Bob looks like a Green Man you could trust. Now, that one--the 4th from the left in the 2nd row of your Green Man collection--honestly, if you pulled a few leaves off a cabbage and encountered this Green Man, would you ever buy a cabbage again? Your earring story gives me an idea for a blog--it might be entitled "Don't Try This at Home" and the last line could be what my mother said when I pierced my ears. "Why would you do such a thing? When you get old, your ear lobes will look like a piece of crochet."

This is the second time that I know about that Bob has reminded you of a statue. Did he see this picture? It's amazing how he can look so much like various statues of bearded men.

Bob makes a good green man and you captured him well. You have loads of time to play with photos. Its better to be bored than dead.

Your hubby could have been the inspiration for all those faces. I need one for our garden! Enjoy your day.
