Covid-19itis

I am overwhelmed by Covid-19itis..
Did you notice I was Missing for 2 days, no post, no comments. Sorry!
I have NEVER in my 75 years

washed produce in a sink full of soapy water and let them drain.
had Cauliflower EAR from talking to 7 different people in one day, for a total of 6 hours on phone (that was the day I deleted all emails, cleared the feedly list and went off line for 2 days)

Never shopped with Mask
MASK WEARING is depressing, makes me HOT, it was 92 degrees at 7:30 pm a couple of days. HUMIDITY! at 100 percent soooo NOOOO MASK

Swam by Reservation Only Lap swimming at YMCA.. 4 people allowed in one Olympic sized pool, and the website is a HORROR, can only go out 72 hours, swim 3 times a week, have to go on site to reserve every other day,
NEVER
had a  dizzy spell that made me walk off to the side and peel the skin off my arm by hitting the wall that I have walked past for 30 years without hitting before.
It is still bleeding 3 days later.. Bob wanted to cut off the 2 inch long 1 inch wide flap of skin.
I said only if you are a Doctor and and have numbing shots.

are you picking up what I am putting down?

I have NEVER thrown the manual for the new coffee pot across the living room, said HBO words and shut myself in the bedroom with a book
Did I mention Bob has MOHS surgery on eyelid next WED to remove Basil Carcinoma.

I will not mention the pain in  hands/arm.. OH Well! YES I WILL.
last but not least I HAVE GAINED 4 POUNDS in 10 weeks.

Bob stepped up while I was locked in the bedroom and set the brew later function, because he thought the next thing I threw would be the coffee pot..

Only four pounds in almost two months is great! Lots of others are gaining tons, being shut in the house with the fridge all the time. Do you have Neosporin or something? What an awful few days you have had!!!

Sorry to hear that you have been feeling low. It does get to you after a while. We ar starting to get back to new normal and I'm finding it hard to keep up. Hope you can shake off the colly wobbles and get back to your usual funny self.

I'm sorry you don't feel well! Would you please not go shopping anymore ... can't you shop online groceries there?
Please take good care of yourself ... I don't want to miss you again! Hugs!

Ack. What a rough go you're having. Here's to better days ahead and also, you wrote this post well. Right down the ending. All well-told, with a funny ending.

I don't like reading about the dizzy spells! No matter what name or number this covid crapola they come up with, it is downright demoralizing & makes stress build up 'til depression is triggered-

I would not want to socialize in a pool used by others beside family just yet. You were brave swimming at the Y...chlorinated or not. I think for years to come this reservation and mask wearing will be the new norm.

Take this easy for a while...use your blog to vent your frustrations. We're hear to listen!!!

I'm with you all the way Sandra.
When I don't blog its usually because I'm in the doldrums. At times like that I almost don't blog anymore. I don't want to talk to people and often unplug the phone.
I'm not a miserable person but dealing with Tom's illness and this virus (I hate even having to talk about it) it's enough to make anybody fed up.
Getting old is awful(there is no word to explain it) until you get there you never get it, so I fully understand how you feel.
BUT...everything passes and we will be okay.
Now you've had a good rant I'm sure you will be better.
A million hugs across the water
Briony

Well, I feel blessed as one of those you did comment at and thus I didn't notice any absence... but I feel awful that you have felt awful. The dizzies? Just a one-off??? Can be a blood pressure thing but if it happens again, you need to talk to your doc. Then rant it out on the bloggy to spread and shed the load!!! &*> YAM xx

I'm feeling pain just from reading about your arm. Will you go to the doctor to have it looked at? I think the past couple months have been really hard on a lot of people.
I was walking through walmart yesterday and saw a some patriotic t-shirts. One said something about land of the free. I laughed to myself and though there really isn't so much freedom around here these days. They've taken a lot of that away.

Hello,

I think we could all use a break, time to cool off and just chill.
You can use the blog to vent. I do not like wearing a mask but I will follow the safety rules. I hope your dizziness goes away and your arm heals. My hubby has gained almost 10 pounds, so you did good. Stay calm and safe.

I'm concerned about you Sandra, and am praying for better days for you and Bob.

I had a major battle with anxiety for several years and I finally said 'no more what-ifs' that were keeping me from enjoying life. As long as I live sensibly, 'If' something happens (not just the virus), God allowed it and He will see me through.

Mask wearing may be here to stay but even that is a 'what-if' when it comes down to it. And I wash my hands more than I ever did which I probably should have been doing all along against other germs as well.

The thing is, 'they' change the story almost daily as to what is and what is not.

Keep an eye on that wound; and hold on tight through Bob's next ordeal. And keep us all up to date when you can. You are important to us.

FIRST (and foremost). I, too, am concerned about you guys. Tongue-in-cheek aside, I do think Covid-itis is a real thing. 'Just surprised the media darlings haven't coined that term … yet.
How odd about that dizzy spell you experienced. I walk into walls and other inanimate objects all the time. No tears, but black/blue marks that would make a ripened banana jealous. But my mother used to do the same thing -- and yes, her skin would just peel off and she'd be walking around with all this paper tape on her arms and legs. Have you plenty of antiseptic cream -- or at least rubbing alcohol with which to treat your arm? (Forget toilet paper; there's NO alcohol to be found anywhere around here.) A blood pressure machine?

M'dear, you can rant all you like and we're here to listen. That's what friends are for.

Bless your heart. I'm so sorry for all this worry and extra effort to do normal routine. It will make your head swim for sure.
I found out Thursday during grocery shopping masks are hotter than blue blazes. Of course it was raining dogs and cats and I had on boots and a rain coat.I love your new pot and YAY for BOB setting it up. LOL He was afraid he might be in the way when you next threw a hissy fit
Hugs Cecilia

Sandra, I hear you LOUD and clear sand YES do go right ahead and rant and vent, but please do NOT walk into any more walls and hurt yourself because you know your blog friends and Bob and Big Boy worry when that happens.

Yes, I'm fed up too with mask wearing and yes we do it when in any public shopping space and now that it's getting warmer (but thankfully not as hot as 90 yet) they are so uncomfortable and hot (can this be good for us).

It makes me wonder WHY people wear the masks when in their own cars (who are they afraid?) And the ones who not only wear masks, but gloves when walking outside (not in a store). Now they must be worn in our apt complex even when walking down the hallways, laundry area, mail room, lobby .... please make it stop, one day.

Yes, we have also gained weight from our home cooking and baking, and also less activity as the gym here is shut down for the foreseeable future. We go walking outdoors but definitely need to do more.

OK rant over and now I feel better and sure hope you do too!

Forgot to add that it's not necessary and advised not to wash vegetables in soapy water, so that may be one less thing to be upset about, Sandra. Hope this helps just a bit.

We can all relate and know how you are feeling. In fact...it's amazing to me to think that we are together in this all over the world! It's sad and depressing and there is no way around that. Glad the coffee pot survived. I CAN NOT live without a couple of cups EVERY day! heehee! HBO words? I've never heard that but I bet I know some of them! hahahahaha! Hugs...lots of HUGS!

I was reading your comments and liked another one better so I'll say what they said! Bless your heart! I really would say that to you and hug you if I could!

Oh, now I know how your arm is...I had not taken time to look at a single blog, only to moderate the comments on mine. I feel your pain as you well know. Maybe it was good to throw the manual across the room...it is better than the coffee pot.

I am tired of having to try to be cautious...just am not built to be that way. But I have to keep roger in mind with it all.

I'm glad Bob fixed the coffee pot and that it survived. I'm also glad you still have your sense of humor. And so many nice blogger friends supporting you. I read all the above comments, something I have never done before on any blog.

Sandra, what a time you've been having! Sorry to hear about it and hope that "whatever floats your boat" sails back into view real soon. It's just that a trainload of little things can really get you down. Your sense of humor glimmered a bit, even so---HBO words. I know just what you mean. We watched the first two seasons of "SUCCESSION"--the people were rich, the story line was compelling, but the vocabulary was seriously undernourished. These folks were supposed to be smart as whips and yet they used the f-word to the exclusion of all the other great words available to them as native speakers of English.

Sorry to hear you are a bit low Sandra. It seems like everything is a mountain when we don’t feel chipper. You have a lot going on to make it so. Hope from here on in everything will feel better.

Well, I hope things start getting better soon.

You got a lot of comments here. They were interesting in the fact everyone has a different view and take on this darn virus.
I think what you are going thru is NORMAL!
I would be careful of your arm.
In one city in California - there were more suicides (I read by younger people) in that one month then people who died of COVID.
‘A Year’s Worth of Suicide Attempts in the Last Four Weeks’: California Doctor Calls for End to Lockdown"
It is a tough time.
I let my family take me to Helen, GA - a German tourist town in GA. Hardly anyone were wearing masks - and it was hard to believe their was Covid going on - I was aghast and I had my mask - but not my family. I wish I hadn't gone. It was packed.
Will we ever feel safe again?
I hope so for the businesses out there.

We are hating Covid. We stopped washing stuff in soapy water a week ago cause we are tired of getting so many misleading reports daily. And we use masks only in shops. Gloves too but not on walks. No pools or any rec places are open yet for booking so we just walk. B Wecare so fed up too. Buddy really hates it now. Even TV show are annoying as all revolves around zoom and bad news about summer resorts etc. All just so frustrating.
And we have added some ice cream to our diet, not normal for us.

Oh my, I'm so sorry. I know we are all having days like this. ((HUGS)) I only wash mine in water. We have been fine. I still wipe off all the items we get but they are now saying that isn't necessary but I can't help myself. Take care.
