Good News, Bad News

Bad news...I have a UTI

Good news, Sunday AM I stood at the door of the Urgent Care Unit, waiting for them to open at 7:30
She came out and grabbed the news paper and I popped in the door behind her.
Followed her to the window and said, before she could ask, I am not sick. I just need to pee in a bottle, and have the doctor verify I have a UTI and give me a 5 pack of Cipro.

She roared and said you are first in the door and we will have you out of here in a flash.

I was out in my car by 8 am..
BEST and HAPPIEST NEWS
On my drive to the Urgent care, I saw what I thought was a very large Chocolate Lab, drinking from a pond. I came to almost stop in fear it would dart out in front of my car.
IT WAS AN OTTER, drinking from the pond, the other one was swimming under water.
A mile later I saw TWO very large Torotoise in a grassy yard AND a brown wild rabbit hopped accorss in front of me.
Lifted my spirits way up high.

The good news, I do believe, actually manages to outweigh the bad news (though I send my good wishes for speedy recovery!) YAM xx

Sorry to hear about the UTI but glad you were in and out of there so quick. Seeing all those critters was a bright spot.

Every time I am amazed how healthcare in America works! Here the Urgent Care Unit is always in a hospital and is open 24 hours a day. We also have a separate Urgent Care Unit for general practitioners, which is also open 24 hours a day ... Do we have good medical care in America?
Hugs for you!

Hello,

I am thankful for the Urgent Care Centers. They are very quick. The wildlife sightings are cool, I love the cute otters, rabbits and tortoise. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Have a great day!

I hope you are feeling some relief by now! I think I would want to take that drive again just to see if I could see the otters.

I LOVE otters, they are the cutest! Especially the short clawed ones. They are small and talkative, and make sounds like baby cries. They play with dog toys, and turn toys and puzzles around in their hands. Do you know how you got a U.T.I.? Has it been confirmed yet? I guess you will go to WM to pick up the Cipro. So sorry, I have had dozens and they can get real bad. One went to my kidneys. But it looks like you have caught it early and the meds will work well.

Poor otters, I wonder why they had to use a pond. They are river and sea dwellers and should have bene on a beach. Maybe it was a really big pond.

What a breath of fresh air you must have been to that lady at Urgent Care! I don't suppose those places are anything where employees look forward to going each morning.
I'd have loved to see those otters and the others. No-one told them there's a deadly virus going around ….. they're just out there loving life in the moment.

The "chocolate lab" otter have made your day.

Best wishes for feeling better soon, Sandra. You surely knew what to tell the office medical staff so methinks you have travelled this road before.

I am surprised you got in and out so fast of any medical place. You saw many animals that day 😎

I am sorry - but I am glad you got it handled so fast. Did they take your temperature? Kelly went to a special dentist yesterday for an appointment. They have you wait out in the car for 30 minutes in the heat. Took her temperature and it was 99.3 and sent her home to die! lol If she is still a live in 2 weeks she can come back. I am not making light of Covid, but she is not sick either. . .

For days Ixve been able to read your blog but unable to leave a comment (in the morning).

Thought I'd try this afternoon instead (our internet service provider is switching to 5G, and it's atrocious) I could comment on some, but not others. It may be Blogger too...I switched back to the basic...and your comment form showed up! I just hope it publishes. Now, take your meds & mend.

Here goes...keep your fingers crossed.

That's great, not about the UTI, that's painful but the gift at the end of your day to lift your spirits. I treasure those moments. My laptop is fixed now, still limping along and I don't know for how long but I'll take it and I'm glad to be visiting you again. Hope that UTI clears up fast with the meds.

This post is interesting as you managed to get prompt medical help and saw nature’s critters sharing a moment with you as you saw them.
