Magic Moments - Walk A Mile

My Mile Walk each day is full of beauty, I just have to see and capture it.. You will be seeing and seeing those moments.

I forgot to mention the big part of my Mothers day, other than chatting with my 2 sons was signing up for Contact Free pizza delivery from Papa John's.

It had been10 weeks since I ate any food that I did not prepare myself. If you know me, you know how much I hate cooking and that every Thursday we ate lunch OUT or brought in...

The came with Pizza and Cheese bread, I ordered enough for left overs the next day.
HAPPY TWO DAYS OFF FROM COOKING

Now we wait to see if we get the virus from food delivery or the two Fed X boxes delivered on the same day as Pizza... Our New Normal..

This house is really pretty! I hope you really enjoy the goodies!! They say that heat and cooking kill the virus, and the most likely ay to catch it is from droplets in the air.

You're making me hungry for pizza! Enjoy!

we love this house!!! and we love pizza... but the "new normal" is not our cup of tea, the mama has always a dark sorrow cloud over her head when we leave the house... and we thought 2019 was no good year and hoped for 2020... what irony...

A pretty house and I now crave pizza :) Enjoy! We have only had one restaurant delivery since this all started happening. But we have been getting groceries delivered once a week. The people who shop for us are great! It is always someone different and it is all done with them wearing masks and gloves. No contact whatsoever. We have read up on the virus and grocery shopping seems to have a relatively good report, though we use our common sense and disinfecting as much as we can, washing everything off and scrubbing hands like a surgeon. Not too far from what we used to do with our own shopping trips, just a tad extra diligent now.

Pizza, YUM. So how does the contactless delivery work? Do you pay on the app? Do they just drop it off at your front door and then leave? What if they drop it off at the wrong house? I know, too many questions.

Here, we wear disposable gloves to handle anything coming in the door and leave the packaging at the door to be disposed of in recycling later. The gloves are just a luxury precaution - the key to managing this stuff is hand washing, a proper twenty seconds in as hot as you can bear and lots of scrubbing with the soap and thorough rinsing. YAM xx

What a treat to order a meal and not have to cook for two days! I'm waiting for parcel deliveries from family this week because of my birthday later in the month, but with everything that comes through the door the packaging gets quarantined, cleaned and thrown away in the outside bin ready for waste collection. I'm sure you do the same. Have a lovely day.

I am like you...That's what I miss most. Dining out has become a part of our lifestyle. Now, I actually look forward to our first day out without a mask.

Hello,

Pizza is my favorite. I wish we had pizza delivery here, we are too far away for anything to be delivered. We have ordered carry-out and went to pick up the food ourselves. All was well! Have a great day!

I also want a palm tree and a banana tree in my garden ... and when the bananas are ripe do you send me one too?
So, your house number is 2219?
I love to make pizza at home!
Enjoy your day and stay safe! Hugs!

Ooooh, pizza is my #1 guilty pleasure. So happy you elected to reward yourself for being such good inmates. :) Can you still get curb-side pickup at Culvers if you wanted? We've not done anything like that - yet. Tom's still a bit suspicious and didn't even want to go to the opening of the Farmers Market yesterday.

That first photo sure is magic...I love it.

As for food...I am so sick of thinking about what to fix and then fixing and Roger barely eats most of the time. I told Roger I wish we went and got filled up like at the gas station. At least part of the time I feel that way. LOL

We used to get Sesame Shrimp from our local Chinese restaurant once a week. I miss that. Also gyros from a carry-out place and an occasional pizza. Tried making homemade pizza. It's just mot the same.

I am going out on a limb here - but I bet the food delivery and the pick up - the companies have to be so careful for law suits. I hope anyway as we pick up a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the exercise today, Sandra, as the only walking I will do is inside the apt building. It is darn chilly and windy here in recent days and Spring seems to have visited for a couple of days and then left as quick as she came! Pizza is a favorite here too and I've made it in recent weeks and now you have me thinking about it again for later this week. We do have several pizza places here with takeout so that's another option depending on how lazy I am feeling.

I enjoyed your walk, too. It's wonderful that you persevere with exercise. We ate salads for supper yesterday INSIDE our favorite coffee shop. Food places have started opening up here with limited seating, staff with masks and other precautions in place. Stay safe; stay sane!

I have been doing my exercise at home everyday..Pat, pat, pat on the back for me...I really am proud of finally getting in the groove. Dave and I try to walk a mile every day, but have missed the last 3 because of so much hard yard work and rain too. Hope to get back out there today between rain showers.
Hope your Dr. appmt. went well.

i will guess that delivery service is as safe as it can be. One of the things I am looking forward to after these restrictions ,is to go to a sit down restaurant for a meal.

We have had several take outs and so far so good. I of course wipe everything down and wash our hands/sanitize often. Glad you did that for yourself.

You have some beautiful scenery around where you live. I really haven't seen that many palm trees in my life. Girl I feel your pain of not being able to eat out. I have been scared to do it. We used to get pizza every Friday night. I always ordered enough for leftovers for lunch on Saturday. I did make some really good homemade pizza which I've done many times before all of this happened. My bread machine died so it is harder to make the dough that we liked.... Then our gas well tender turned off our gas because the gas well doesn't have enough pressure for them to get gas for money. We have free gas where we live. So I've had to cook this past week using my air fryer and a electric 2 burner stove top stove. I don't have a microwave and haven't for over 15 years now. I'm thinking about getting an air fryer convection oven for when this happens.

Hoping to get out from under one house before long, get the other house fixed up and have time to walk. Would love to say I walked a mile each day. Lily Bit said that she don't want to pet a giraffe!!!
