Wordy Wed Thank You unknown person

I can barely remember my own name, which means I can't remember which of you told me you save old jelly jars to put gooky/slimy stuff in, the stuff you can't just put in the bag in the garbage can. Dump it from the frying pan in the jar and close the lid and toss in garbage bag.

Thank You so much UNKNOWN PERSON... fess up in comments if it was you.

It works perfectly and No I don't have a garbage disposal, no ice maker, no dishwasher.

Also no instapot or  one of those fryers that is not a fryer with grease and my brain will not remember the name. Got it! the answer popped to the top of the 8 Ball... Air Fryer!

This was intended for a thank you and turned into a whining I DON"T HAVE  post.

THE WORDS RAN AWAY WITH MY POST ON WORDLESS WEDENSDAY!

Oh my GOSH!!! We do NOT have a dishwasher, garbage disposal, ice maker, air fryer, or instant pot!!! This is getting downright spooky!

We have a dishwasher and a garbage disposal...they came with the apartment but we don't use them. I do have an Instant Pot (and a microwave) but no usable stove or oven. And no ice maker or air fryer. I like Wordy Wednesday better than Wordless Wednesday, and I'm still laughing at your last line. Thank you!

No dishwasher or disposal here either. We did buy a small dishwasher but I hated it before it was out of the box. Hated it more out of the box. Returned it the next day.

Insta pots ... oh yeah, got two. Air fryer, yeppers on that one too. It works like a really hot oven and I LOVE IT.

Cheers and boogie boogie.

The less gadgets in the kitchen the better I like it. We do not even have a washing machine, we use the launderette over the road once a week. All we have is a cooker and microwave. I don't like cooking much these days so they are enough. I like my worktops clear of clutter so that I can just whizz round with a cloth and its done.

It wasn't me who told you that but I have done that.
I don't have a garbage disposal or an ice maker. I do have a dishwasher...ME I don't work very well though. ha ha ha
I do have an insta pot that I've only used once. I honestly find it too confusing to use. I do have an air fryer that I use now and then.

We are not big on gadgets. We have an old dishwasher that we do not use, hubby is the dishwasher. He will use a plastic grocery bag to put the gooky/slimy stuff in. I do use a microwave, crockpot and coffee pot. Take care, enjoy your day!

No dishwasher (would like for rare family get togethers), no garbage disposal or instapot. Was given a used air fryer. It was a novelty for a short time. Fridge came with an ice maker. Bottom one turned off for more freezer space. Top one on but rarely utilized. But ... LOVE my crockpots!!

Only the one and only MAD SNAPPER could make a such an entertaining post out of Nuthin! :) I don't recycle jelly jars, so it wasn't me. Since we're on septic (ie, no disposal) I'm really paranoid about what tries to go down the drain. So ya, I wait til the grease (or whatever slimy stuff) cools, toss it in a bag and into the bottom compartment of the freezer where it stays 'til collection Mondays.
BTW, still don't have a dishwasher and I don't care if we ever do.

The jelly jar idea to toss out grease wasn't mine either, Sandra, but my husband always cautions me about putting any form of grease down the drain. Luckily, we don't fry much, so when there is some from stovetop cooking, I cut it with a lot of soap and hot water while doing dishes. Yes, the apt has a DW but the problem is filling it enough to run often as we hand wash pots & pans and some other items. No air fryer here, but tried an Instant Pot and husband returned it. We do have a couple of crockpots which I plan to use MORE this winter and a stew is going in one today.

I dont know if it was me. But that is what I do. I have done it for years. I had to come up with something.

I saw a show once on build up of grease in the pipelines. It was a horrible sight, but I don't think I have ever poured grease down the drain. Something I picked up from my parents as it's been with me for as far back as I can remember. I did buy an air fryer a while ago :0

Well, I guess I am the "Odd Ball" in this fabulous blogging group.
I have a dishwasher..came with the house...use it about once a week when the dishes fill the machine.
I handwash all the plastic stuff and several of the old microwave pans. I want to keep them around as long as possible.
Have a disposal (came with the house) use it mostly but I do not put any grease down the sink. It goes in saved jars or plastic bags. I have been known to freeze it until garbage day..especially if we are having company. Don't want the house stinky or the outside can inviting critters.
Have crock pots which I love dearly and use all the time.
have an Instapot which is fantastic for artichokes and I used it for large amounts of potatoes for mashed. My spare ribs come out fantastic in a short amount of time too.
I think the microwave is the best invention ever. Use mine practically every day.
We do have an ice maker..came with the fridge..use the ice for ice tea and when company comes.
Life is more pleasant with all of these things but when they break down it sure can be costly.

Actually I like the idea of throwing grease into a jar and tossing it. When and if my blog goes back up, remind me to share a story about the bacon grease. Your post wasn’t wordy at all, Sandra!...:jp

Well I have to admit - I do have those things - but still throw my grease away in a jar!

No dishwasher and no garbage disposal for me. I do have an air fryer and really like it. I must remember to use old containers for those wet items that can't just go in the garbage.

I just mix up a gooey mess and take it down to the creek where I leave it for the wild critters.

I could do without a disposal. I like the dishwasher but only run it about every 10 days for glasses. Don't you like to recycle the glass. I use a glass to put grease in but I line it with foil so I can pull it out and toss that. I just have a crockpot which I use a few times a year.
