Nature Friday Re Post from my first year blogging, 2009
This beautiful deer was after something in the pocket of the wild life rescue person. Can you guess what before the end of the photos?
this looks like fun, but we were told a deer is more dangerous than a bobcat when cornered or frightened and anyone else would be in danger from the hooves, which can be lethal, they stand on hind legs and flail with the front hooves if afraid.
the treasured food was of all things...... a Bannana.... our Florida deer are very small compared to others.

I have seen on T.V. were the deer in Florida are smaller than usual. Wow, this could have been unsafe, even if the deer did not mean to hurt him.
Thank you for the warning!
Deer look so sweet...but I know they can be dangerous.
I have not told on my blog, but Copper loves bananas!
The deer is very nice!
I didn't know Florida deer are smaller than others ...
Hugs!
A banana of all things! Who woulda guessed. I surely didn't.
I would never have guessed banana. I was thinking corn.
Hello,
I love seeing the cute deer, I would have never guessed a banana. I though it would be an apple. I have seen the Florida Key Deer, they are really small and cute. Have a happy day!
I'd have guessed corn, too. Now I'm thinking Macie Ann may be part deer ... I've got the scratches on both legs to prove it. :)
This is so cute, but definitely could have been a dangerous moment as well!
I have been inside the enclosure of a rescued deer a friend of mine takes care of at a park that has animals. The deer's name is Deer Abby and she's a mule deer and very sweet. I have seen videos of their attacks though and they can be lethal.
These were delightful photos and bless all the wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators. Those hooves and antlers can be deadly.

We can be reeled in by cuteness, regardless of the potential of risk! Did the deer get its treat??? YAM xx
Hello Sandra got your message, you will have guessed that I'm a little superstitious. It may be for the best, as long as you are happy.:=)
Nice pics and cute deer, small, even though fully grown. Never seen this kind before, and I never thought of deer being dangerous,...until now, they just seemed timid. The banana was a surprise!
They do look sweet and innocent don't they? They also carry ticks up in the northeast USA.
What a beautiful elegant deer.....
Hugs Cecilia
Terrific "wild-life" shots Sandra. Good action...
Bananas...who'd a thunk it??

A banana, that's interesting. I certainly wouldn't want that encounter with a deer!!!
Cute pictures. I didn’t know that deer like bananas. Maybe only Florida deer have a taste for them,
