Because I COULD

While walking past the house that burned, the rising sun pointed out this box.

And next to Mi-Box it pointed to
Jenni Jons

This needs a sign on it that says

Open this box to get the potty started...HEH HEH HEH

Portable toilets have many different names
  • Portable restroom (our preferred term)
  • Porta-potty.
  • Porta-john.
  • Honey bucket.
  • WC (water closet; used in Europe)
  • Porta-loo.
  • Johnny-on-the-spot.
  • Jon.
  •                           What are the ones in your part of the world called??

Gosh, I didn't know most of these names. Here, they are Porta Potties. So are men working on the house, and this is all for them? It looks like a potty advertisement.

In the Netherlands are called Dixxi.
But that is the real name of the mobile toilet cubicles.

"Get the potty started." Doesn't sound like something a prim and proper New Englander would say, or does it? Thats a good one!

"Potty started"? I'm in stitches!
Jenni Jon is cute, but kind of hope it doesn't catch on. Imagine if that was your real name? (Like Karen.) I've never heard them called anything but porta-potties, so now I'm feeling all kinds of smart-er. (*grin*)

Porta potty...
The people that empty the potties say they are emptying the honey buckets.
I like your post "because I could"...gave me my smile for this day.
We worked in our backyard yesterday and succeeded in cutting parts of our tree down. This is the one that is the host to the box elm beetle.
We had such an infestation last year that we couldn't hardly be out in the back.
Decided it has to go! Love the shade but hate the bugs..especially when they get in our house and the bedroom.
Chopping up lots of branches today. Hard work but I actually like doing it.

We have heard lots of names but that one is a new one for us. We usually call them port-a-potty.

In the UK those portable toilets are called portaloos. Also in the UK a potty is a plastic container used by little children before they can sit on a proper toilet seat. We don't use the verb "to potty". Interesting subject.
