Since there is not much to be said about trees in fog, I will tell you my life is lived in a fog. My hubby needs his hearing checked, his aids are 6 years old and need to be reprogrammed or replaced. He says they do NOT!
You tell me if they need to be.
Sitting in the sun by the pool, he pointed to his stomach and said, Look I am bleeding. this is no big deal, he is always bleeding because he takes blood thinners for his heart.
I stood and said "I am to hot, I'm going inside, I will bring you a paper towel."
His answer was
"What, you're going to take a shower?"
Can one of you tell me the name of the above tree?
UPDATE, thank You Denise, this is a Norfolk Island Pine, very common here.
The Fog comes in on little cat feet, came to mind.
The tree and the flowers were taken at the same time.
The flowers are under the tree. The fog did not creep along the ground but from the sky
Clear as a bell for about 3 feet from the ground and thick above.

These are beautiful fog pictures! Why is it always so quiet in the fog. I Googled it, but my brain would not comprehend it. The first picture; the thing that is beyond and just to the left of the tree looks like a giant rabbit. And I would believe it is, since things always grow so big in Florida. I know what kind of tree that one is, it is a Three-In-One Tree!! Looks like some kind of Pine? The photo just before the flowers is my very favorite.
According to my plant app your tree is a Norfolk Island Pine. Not sure how accurate it is. Those foggy tree photos are magical. Hope Bob gets his hearing aid up to date.
we like fog (if we haven't to drive) ...and we think this photos are fogtastic!
Magical for pics!
And the little flowers are also pretty.
Have a great week, Sandra!
Hugs!
I was gonna say Long Leaf Pine, which is abundant in Florida, but I see Denise ID'd it.
Hello,
It is a pretty tree, love the first foggy scene.
My hubby is always putting words in my mouth, he has a hearing problem too.
Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great new week!
I'm no expert but if Bob got that you were going in to take a shower from that conversation then he DEFINITELY needs to have his hearing aids checked.
The only Norfolk Island Pine I've ever seen was in a pot and meant to be an inside plant.

C'mon Bob... time for an update!!! Yes, those do look like NIPs, a species very common in Australia, particularly along beaches. YAM xx
Oh dear me MS that was too funny.
Bryan was saying the prayer before supper last week...I declare I heard
thank for 'deliquification'. Neither he nor I knew what he said but I'm sure it was not that. Heck don't even know if that is a word.
Hugs Cecilia
Beautiful photos Sandra! My husband can't hear well either. I bet we could both have a weekly feature on our blogs with funny things they say. I hope our Beau is feeling better today. I've been worried.
It looks like you have oleanders as well. Bane of our lives here - the scruffy darned things are everywhere.
Hello Sandra, I just stopped by for a minute, to "see you"! Not that I'm feeling much better but I miss your blog, and the things you say. Your photos of the trees in the fog are very beautiful. We get a lot of fog where we live, and it's just as you describe.
It is quite amusing when my hubby reply's to my questions, but I try not to smile.:) Unlike your other half,he won't even wear a hearing aid, but really needs one. I hope Bob gets a replacement soon.
I'm not ready to blog just yet, but will when I'm better.
I love the pine tree. The fog is a lot of water vapour that sits low and it causes interference with sound waves hence it is more quiet on foggy days. My hubby hears okay according to tests but his dementia affects how he processes. He makes up his own version of what he thinks he heard and correcting him is a huge mistake as he bursts into anger fits like a toddler. I now ignore his wrong perception just to keep peace.
Great analogy ... living in a fog. Been there!
I wonder if the tables were turned, if our hubbies would be so gracious -- or find humor. (Jus' saying.) We no longer go out to eat, but I used to always caution Tom to ask someone to repeat themselves -- vs. saying 'yes' just to be agreeable. If I'm not listening carefully, he's had dessert or a drink brought to him that he didn't ask for. I guess the biggest boiling point is me forgetting to raise my hand (think school-room) when I want to say something, because he keeps those stupid hearing aids turned to the television all day. Then I yell ... and he yells, ya-da-da. *Sigh*
SIX years???? It's a wonder they still work. I have hearing aids myself so I know whereof I speak. They need regular tweaking and professional cleaning.
I like your foggy photos, they look dreamy and mystical... Good luck with persuading Bob to get his hearing aids checked...
Beautiful fog filled shots! I cannot say much about the hearing aid...I swear I am beginning to need them myself! Just ask Lorelei!
I love fog! It seems so mysterious! Once when we were in San Francisco- it was so foggy the entire we didn't even get to see the Golden Gate Bridge that trip!
I don't remember you having many fog pictures over the years. They are really interesting. Yes if your working in the yard and you're on blood thinner you will find that things poke you and you bleed. He should definitely get his hearing aids checked. Why wouldn't he want to hear better???
I'm with everyone else..6 years is too long to have the aids without checking and cleaning..
Your conversations are so funny but my hearing is going a bit too and I know I hear things that AREN'T REALLY BEING SAID...
Hope you can convince him to get them checked.
Love the fog pictures..very mystical...
Sue
Your fog photos are very nice. And om laughs about the hearing aid. She believes our Dad needs them too, but he maintains his hearing is just fine:)
