About this Header

Some of you commented about the new header. Thus the title,

About This Header.

First a question. Think Hard! Do you know what was there before? Probably not!

I decided I wanted a new header. Actually I did not want a new header,  I wanted to CREATE one, even though I have this folder with 314 headers in it.
All created since 2009.
When I first started blogging, I changed the header to go with the post, then I learned Photoshop and created because I could, then I learned PicMonkey, on and on..

a few days ago I  WANTED something Different.

I created this one,

, I added the new one and I HATED IT. I don't really like blue on the blog, I fiddled with all the colors, I changed background, I changed border colors, I made the whole thing in blue and yellow and Did NOT Save it.   The thing is, I could not find the old header to put it back and stop the madness.

I changed the background color of the new header to match the blog and uploaded and didn't want it either.

I added a green border.
NOPE! I Decided to go back to the old one. But where was it? What was it?

Then I wracked my brain thinking what was there?
When I finally remembered, and I Could not find it.
Seems it crashed with the old computer and was ONE that I did not put in Google Photos.

I went to the OLD folder and chose the archived from the past green lizard. Because it was green and matched the blog. Because know one cares about a header, because know one would remember it.

Then I remembered what was there and I remembered I created it in PicMonkey which meant it was in my HUB. so here it is and I still don't know what I want for a header.
At least this one is now residing in the folder.  I just now as I typed this remembered it was not the one below but the one with a green border.
Phooey!
 DO HEADERS MATTER?

crikey - that makes my secretary seem well lazy - I'm on my third header since 2012 and I only got that because Blogger updated and the old theme/layout thingie was no longer available. F messed about so long making what I've got now fit and look OK that she is unlikely to mess with it again until forced to do so. Which is a pity because I could have photo sessions and do my best take on suave, philosophical, enigmatic, seductive, etc and change my look every week....

They sure do matter. If you have trouble deciding on a header, why not change them once in awhile so you don't have to decide on just one? After all, you are the master of creating awesome pics with effects.

Some headers I notice, others I dont. I have not ever changed the one on pics and pieces, the other I used to change about every three months, but no longer do that.

Forgot to say, my brother used to have a blog, andcat one point he had his header set up till it rotated between pics randomly.

I used to change my header and blog background with the seasons/holidays. Once I settled on the one I have now I decided I wasn't going to change any more.
Sometimes I notice headers and sometimes I don't. I have to admit that I don't remember what you had up. This one looks good though

Love your new header. Love the lizard, love the green! I used to have a regular new header also but am content to enjoy yours rather than make my own these days. You did a great job on this one and I am glad that you found a copy of your old one.

Hello,

I always enjoy your creations, you have beautiful headers. The lizard is a favorite, but I love the sky/palm trees too. I keep a folder for my desktop screensavers. Have a great day and happy week ahead.

You are very creative, Sandra, and there is no doubt or argument on that point and it shows in your blog headers. I will admit that I fear that if I try to change my header, I won’t be able to do a new one. And then it really doesn’t matter that much to me. Thanks for explaining your process.

Your blog has always been so striking, I've always loved it! I would have remembered what was there before, but I do love the iguana. Back in the old days of blogging a big group of us did a weekly header challenge with themes, it was always fun. It's been so long since I've changed mine I wouldn't have a clue how to do it anymore!

Good question! Like Beatrice's written, I'm apprehensive about trying to change my own.
Let's see -- I really LIKE your black background, because it accentuates the pictures and links, both on the header and the sidebar. (Plus, I like that 'kelly green.')

Some people change their headers and backgrounds with the seasons, and that's okay, too. I suppose like decorating or rearranging the furniture in their homes? But sometimes I think that can be distracting from the posts. Guess I'm just a stick-in-the-mud. I say go with what YOU like!

I personally think headers matter. Besides I like designing them from my photos lately. Yet, I DO KNOW that blogger's mobile settings in the admin. Will not show up on cellphones. Unless you click on view in website.

The header is the first thing people see when they visit - and if it is their first time, you need to make an impression ... you manage this perfectly!!! YAM xx

I guess I'm just plain dull...I haven't changed my background in years.
I like seeing what others do and especially what you create...but...what you see is what you get on mine. I just don't have the patience to fiddle with it.
Got to do some really big bills now so I have to have my brain as clear as possible..don't know if that is possible though.

I agree with photowannabe . Heck you are the one I yell help too Sandra. My son does all kind of things but he is so busy . I have you as my second call.

I have not got even anything up on mine. Every time I plan to do.

it is my day to go see Sid . This week I had my rug cleaned professionally not big area but since I moved here. It looks so grubby. I am blessed we have a cleaning lady and she has a job extra after her work to clean suites here.
she lets us decide how much. She bought her own equipment so she is not losing the organization. She signs a contract from the organization. To say it is for Mrs. so and so. They never take her money or checks. So now she has done it. I did my organizing in where I wanted to put back things or trash things. Last week son-law took all things I did not wear anymore the past year to the goodwill . Since covid I gained where the sun don't shine inches. I have been trying to lose and have been walking up to an hour bigger steps and a little faster and distance. Only in my waist first always lose and face. . Not where I wanted it. so in all this uncertainty I come to your blog and comment.

I do like the header you have up now and the saying is wonderful. I haven't changed my header in years. I finally decided one day that I was done and my blog would always looks the same. I'm lucky I post stuff and read blog posts.

I usually create a new header for each month. Now you’ve given me an idea. I could make a bunch when I have the time and then uses as needed. I like to see the changes.

What I've learned from this is that folders do matter. And I have no idea about folders, I don't use them, I don't save things in them, I guess I don't care, but then I do. Maybe someday I will miss something and wish it was in a folder!

I love all your headers, this one included...and I love that you change them up too, it keeps things fresh.

I definitely think they matter...I am not happy with the one I currently have, and really need to put some time into creating a new one!
