Can you guess right now how I tested the solar lanterns?
Can you tell now? Where was I?
I TOOK The Lantern IN THE CLOSET.
I yelled down the hall, Bob, come see how good it works!
What?
Come see how good it works!
Where are you?
In The Closet, come see.
He did come.
He did SEE.
He did Shake his head and go back to Olympics watching.
Who is the crazy person? the one glued to the TV or the one Playing with lantern and cell phone in the closet?
PS... I spent 10 minutes reading THIS to find out if I should use who or whom..
OMW! I say whom/who cares?
Bonus question is, Whom Do You Know that can make 3 posts out of 2 Solar Lanterns?
PS at least 5 of you have said they don't work or they don't last long or they die in the rain.
YOU KNOW I Will let you know.
The problem is I can't test them yet because the light bulb is still on at the neighbors house.
a big plus, is once they are charged they are excellent if the power goes off. I charged in sun for 6 hours and turned them off. They are ready for stead burning and no chance of fire
BTW the paperwork said they will work in snow and ice and rain.
The Hubby has 6 appointment in the next 5 dats,Starting at 6:30 am lab work this coming week, 2 doc visits, Echo Cardio, Stress Test, Preop visit to Coastal etc. We may be missing we may not be missing...Target date for The New Knee is August 16,
THE END for now |

I have little cheapie strings of solar fairy lights, fairy light jars, and lanterns that have worked for 2 years and counting, and they are not "heavy duty" things. I put a clear plastic produce bag over their collectors, and pulled it tight and taped it, and so far, nothing has caused trouble, rain, dust, or snow! I hope yours will work as well. PS the closet was spooky!
I have never heard of this namy appointments in one day! But I know he has a lot to be done before the surgery, so this is GOOD. I love your posts on the solar lights. And am so glad you came out of the closet!
I know yor post is about solar lights and closetx, but you did stick that grammer link in there, so i did read it. I was never taught grammar at school and always find reading about it confusing (like 'verb transitive or intransitive' stuff) but that was a clear and useful explanation. I still use whom in a few sentences but only because someone in my family probably did the same and so it sounds right to me. Now I shall examine that when i find myself saying it.
Use whom with a preposition.
Anyway, I'd much rather check out the lights than watch Olympics!!!

LOL - I did cover grammar comprehensively and will use 'whom' on occasion - but as most blog writing is 'casual', the use of 'who' is perfectly acceptable, when uncertain. Anyway, the lamp looks bright indeed. My experience of them is over ten years old and I am sure the technology has advanced... but it comes down to the battery quality, even then. Hopefully, it will be at least a couple of years before you find them fading. They externals certainly look sturdy. YAM xx
Hello,
I can see you jumping out of the closet to scare Bob and Beau.
The lantern does look bright. I wish Bob good luck with all his appointments.
Take care, enjoy your day!
Good idea! How long is the emergency light supposed to last, does it say?
Good thing I fired Amazon Prime, or I'd be tempted to hit the 'Buy Now' button!
The person I know who cam get 3 posts of out solar lanterns is Y O U
Hugs cecilia
Sounds good (and looks good) :) I had some small solar lanterns on my balcony (in a box of flowers), just for decoration. The last one died last summer I think and as I haven't been shopping much since the pandemic I've not replaced them. But if I find some next summer I might buy some new ones then. (They really only work in the summer here as there isn't enough sun in the winter...) I've never had reason so far to try a bigger one!
I really like your lantern lights. I may have to invest in some myself. The ones we had on our walkways never worked well and bit the dust a few years ago....
Oh my friend I will be thinking of you this next week especially..that's a whole lot of transporting Bob and "helping" him. Pray everything will go on schedule and he will cooperate!
That knee NEEDS to be fixed as does the other one.
Blog when you feel like it and vent when you need to...

Good place to check them out. Hopefully they will work just fine for you.
Hurray for solar lanterns, and fingers crossed for the new knee. At least it's getting a lot closer. Sending all sorts of good wishes. ❤️💕❤️💕
Praying that all goes well with Bob's surgery. Keep on having fun with those solar lights. SOme of mine have worked for years and others only a short time.
I guessed closest before you told us that's where you went. That's where I would have gone to test them out. I think testing lights and taking pictures sounds way more fun than watching the olympics.
I am old school, so I know what you mean about whom and who. I always worry about that stuff too, but I've found out, nobody really cares, sometimes not even listening to me, or reading what I write.
The lanterns in the closet still has me grinning from ear to ear. I can picture you in there, and then your husband, walking away and rolling his eyes. At least I know that is what my husband does on occasion.
Wishing your husband the best with his surgery..From Wisconsin...
I have solar lantern envy! No grammar police in this household ;) Loved the closet story. I'll be thinking of you both, especially on the 16th and I hope all the appointments in the meantime go well.
Love your investigation of "do they work" ...maybe buy some more for a winter time party or light up your entrance way...
Good luck. Buddy needs a new knee too but we. Are waiting for less virus issues.
