These flowers live 40 feet up in our pine tree, and bloom only after dark! Known as Queen of the Night
Our cactus is 40 feet in the top of a pine tree, I almost forgot they were there, until I was floating on my back in the pool and looked up. This cactus is best know here as Queen of the Night. AKA Cereus Night Blooming cactus.

the blooms are 10 to 12 inches tall and 5 to 7 inches wide across the bloom

Wow! Yes, your previous photos show them more clearly, but these are just as good in their own way. They are more moody, dreamy and mysterious. MUCH more atmospheric. These are amazing.

that is really the queen of all cacti... the only one who got a flower was a carrion flower ... but oh boy it was like living in the house of charlie manson... the smell was a killer ;O)))

I have one too ...pale yellow blossoms, but it's not bloomed yet.

They are beautiful - they must go to sleep in the morning to protect themselves from the heat and sun - and open and relax at night.

Hi Sandra, I'm trying to catch up, after we had thunder and lightening storms and heavy rainfall like we have never experienced before, so I disconnected the internet for a few days.
Do these gorgeous blooms clime so high to see the stars!! They themselves are stars, and like the stars the blooms only come out at night. I loved seeing these beautiful large Queen of the Night blooms. Do you often swim at night!! Expect it's too hot during the day.
