My Son Dan's Halloween House

Some of you will remember my son Dan, who creates and builds the haunted house at his work place each year..  He love Halloween as much as Hootin Annie does. He sent this on Oct 23 and said he is almost done. Tonight they will have their party.

He builds all the props himself, I tell you this in case you need a set of Stocks or an Electric Chair.

No idea at all what the man hanging in the top of the tent is for but I did have some fun turning it into a circus act with the help of PicMonkey

YES it is a mannequin

I enjoy seeing what he has done every year. And I must say he has outdone himself this year! Who knew that with a big imagination and carpentry skills, what a cool job you could get!

That is absolutely amazing. What does he do for work? Build film sets? I know loads of theatres that would love to have this guy in their design/build team.

Hello Sandra,:=) What a great job your son did. He has a very creative mind to build all those things, and I also like what you did with PicMonkey, changing a torture theme, into a circus act. I think your son gets his creativity from you.:=)

ps I didn't realise you had warm weather all year round. How wonderful!.

Dan is a real artist when it comes to designing and building the Halloween props. This looks amazing. So what does he do when Halloween is over? Does he store this stuff somewhere or does he have to tear it all apart?

Just like his momma, I 💛 Dan's imagination.

Halloween's one of my least-favorite holidays, but I always look forward to his creations. That mannequin, OMG! -- And the electric chair, too. Chuckling about that "Red Tide Seafood Company."

Your son is amazing, which should be no surprise with you for a mom. I love everthing here.

Dan a dockmaster! That's funny. Mr B was a dockmaster when F met him. Maybe making a profession out of your talent kills the spark. It's true for some people.

I love that - he is certainly creative! What does he do with everything after he is done?

What kind of books did you read to him to have a mind that can conjure all that up, lol

While this is not a "holiday" that I celebrate or even decorate for, it's always fun to see your son, Dan's creations, Sandra. And I also wondered what happens to all the props after the 1-day celebration is over; Do parts get re-used for the following year?

I am amazed at your son's talent. He could build movie sets or theater sets if he gets sick of his job! But so spooky! I had to laugh at "Red Tide Seafood Company" - very droll!

Wow, your son is very creative. We have one house in the neighborhood that is over the top with Halloween decorations. We will have to see if we can get a photo of it tomorrow.
