New OLDChair Acessory!

Most of you remember the new OLD chair I just purchased a couple of weeks ago at the local thrift store. It was a deal at 40 dollars. The only time I sit in it is with my Chromebook in my lap answering emails, reading blogs and commenting.

Above came by Amazon Truck and bob said what did you order this time> I said it is a new accessory for my new old chair.

What?  and when I opened the box, a pulled it out, he said What the hell is that?

Its a Desk, a desk to put on my lap! It will hold anything from phone, tablet up to 17 inch laptop... I wish I had it when the hurricane took out the internet for 4 days and I had to drive all over town finding hotspots to use my laptop.

Remember this desk? I was behind the Publix Store using Wi-Fi'
this desk was free.. ha ha but I had to stand

it raises the back 3 inches, is pillow soft, it has pouches for STUFF and the phone will stand in the slot or lay beside, also room for a mouse if I want one... I LOVE it and am now creating this post, sitting in the chair using my new accessory.. the wrist rest keeps me from hitting odd keys that make the computer do strange things. The thing is this tiny desk was only 10 dollars less than the chair.... I should have got Linda to come take me to a thrift store to find one

So you have finally discovered MY desk! I have used these for many years, as long as I have had a laptop. I sit on the couch with it, and that is the only way I use my computer. I have gone through several, and always buy one when I happen to see them on sale.

That looks a 1000 times better than F's laptop holder (sitting cross-legged and holding it between her knees). I might tell Mr B that it would make a good present idea..... That'll surprise her. xxx Mr T

Hello,

That is a cool little desk for your laptop. I only use my desktop to create post, comment on blogs and answer emails. I can't remember the last time I used my laptop, it must need to be updated. Have a great day!

Hello Sandra, It is a splendid idea, and the one you bought looks really nice. I have something similar that my daughter in law bought me for my birthday last June.

You will love that! I have a lightweight lap desk and wish I could find another one just like it. But everything changes! Enjoy your day!

But if it serves the purpose, it is worth it.

And the wrist rest came with it? I love the idea of a pouch to hold stuff; yesterday I discovered one of Tom's remotes hiding under the couch cushion. (*sigh*)

I'm toying with making a New Year's resolution to try and learn to type on one of those pads. It gets lonely sometimes, sitting back here at the desktop.

That looks great, just what you need. I just go back to my bed, my made up bed, put the pillows behind my back, bend my legs so I get a nice sturdy back (my thighs) to lean my Chromebook against and type away. For me it's the only comfortable position I've been able to find. So I know it isn't easy to be comfortable with a laptop and I'm so glad you found what you needed.

Looks like the perfect thing for you.
My dining room table is my desk for my laptop...otherwise it's just hunt and peck on my phone from where ever I am.
Off to church in a few minutes and it looks like a pretty day.

That looks really good, and if I were using my laptop like that I'd get one too. (As it is, I use my laptop on a special computer table in my study, and with a good office chair in front. In my chair in the living room I use my tablet on a thingy from Ikea called an "iceberg", placed on top of a pillow on my knees.)

I have a simple version of a desk like that. Maybe I need to look into getting an upgraded one. Yours looks wonderful .

That's a pretty fancy accessory. I had something similar a long time ago but it wasn't as nice looking as yours is.

I love your desk!! And I have been known to scarf up Internet on the parking lots of hotels, Starbucks and other places!
I will be watching for these at the thrift stores but I may go ahead and BUY one!! My most comfortable place to blog is in bed.....or in my favorite chair in the living room. Your desk would make this even better! Who knew they even made these things?? YOU did!!!!

It might have been expensive, but it will prove to be worth every penny!

I have one that I bought several years ago. I like using it. Your's seem a bit thicker which I think I would like better.

I have something similar, but it is just a solid piece and yes, it did come from a thrift store years ago when we lived in VA. I haven't used it in recent months because once I sit in a chair and put it on my lap and then the laptop on it, there's no moving around easily. Your "desk" was worth the cost because the chair was a a bargain and the combo is even much less than buying a new office chair. I know since I recently priced some, and then Grenville did some tape repairs on my old one where the armrests were kitting the edge of the desk.
