Philomenas New Baby

I am growing a new baby from Philomena the Philodendron that is taking over the kitchen... She grows so fast I have to trim her every couple of weeks. Above is her new daughter from 3 weeks ago.

I saw a youtube video and the woman took a few cuttings and put them in a short chunky cut glass whiskey glass to dress up her shelf.

Philomena was about 4 feet long, and when I trimmed her back a little I thought

Will a syrup bottle do?
Will cuttings from my big plant do for nature Friday?

It looks lovely in the hanging basket. They do run amok if you let them go. I planted one in the garden once and it nearly tore down the fence

I've done the same with the one I have. I had some on the counter that were there for years because I never put them in dirt after they rooted. One day I got tired of moving them back and forth and tossed them.

I remember having one of these plants years ago, they look so pretty.
Hope things are going better for you now.

Call Mad Snapper-the-Midwife!
The 'baby' looks so healthy and happy. Even tho' glass packaging is getting harder to find, I need to start paying more attention. 'Just lends character, I think.

They are without a doubt the most attractive and easy houseplants. Such a rich green and it obviously loves living in Florida

If they grow as fast as all that I would be worried about letting F have one here in case she came home from work one day and it had choked me in my sleep, or smothered the high place on my Condo. xxx mr T

Yup, all the glassware works well. I do like the syrup jug...It has character.
All the greenery makes the home so cheerful.
Today is my eldercare day...we have rain...good steady rain...
So...
That means we stay inside and its so gloomy outside. I know it will bring on the "Sundowners" so I am going to have to talk and talk about the "good ole days"
Tonight will be our first time back at Celebrate Recovery helping with the snacks after their meetings.
Not doing dinner like we used to due to Covid restrictions.
It will be good to see some of the people again after almost a year and a half.

Your cuttings look good in glass bottles. I love having bottles on my kitchen window ledge. I have green, blue and plain glass that looking pretty when the light shines through them. I have several pot plants on the shelf too.
