Say NOOOOOO to Santa

It's October! Christmas has arrived at Wal-Mart, trees, and a photo bomber thumb.

I can see elves, and ugly Santas and Gnomes, and standing on the end cap I shuddered as I clicked my shutter!

The skeleton/scarecrow must have escaped from the Halloween Aisle and tried on a Santa Suit.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hello,

I am only using my pre-lit little trees. I will not be buying anymore Christmas decorations. The skeleton Santa is ugly, the gnomes are cute.
Have a great day!

I kid you not when I tell you that I received my first hint of Christmas four weeks back - yes, late September... one of my supported charities sent out their gift catalogue and are the first with their "can you give more" letters... last week, I received my 2022 calendar from the Guide Dogs... well, it is only nine weeks... YAM xx

The skeleton Santa is from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. I never liked the movie and I don't care for any decorations like that.
They have all the trees up at the Walmart by me too. It didn't look like they had as many as they usually do.

It feels like they put them out earlier every year.

I think the skeleton is from Nightmare Before Christmas!

One day at a time and one season at a time. I'm not ready for Christmas yet although I do like looking at the Christmas items on display if they are there. Everything is very commercial these days trying to get folk to spend, spend spend.

We noticed the exact same thing at Logan's on Saturday
Christmas was everywhere.

And all the people cried, "Nooooooooooo!"
The gnome is adorable, but if I were to bring it home I'm pretty sure Grace would be traumatized the rest of her life.

Sometimes I wonder WHAT demographic today's merchants are trying to attract. Times like this, I'm glad to have grown up in the 'olden days.'

OMG! I was so HAPPY to see "Jack Skellington" in your post about Walmart's very early display for Christmas. Did you happen to see Jack's girlfriend Sally anywhere? They belong together...LOL...jp

My humans say "that is well creepy". Someone has completely lost sight of the reason for the season - peace and goodwill and all that. xxx Mr T

There's a time called Advent, four weeks before Christmas. When I was child, I opened a door on my Advent calendar from 12/1 until Christmas. The thrilling and joyful anticipation I felt as a child can't possibly last from now until Christmas for our children of today. This is shameful commercialism.

My mind just isn't into Christmas yet...
Someone was asking me what I was doing for Thanksgiving...I said I hadn't a clue..too early for that even...

I don't know Sandra - Christmas makes me feel good - so for now having all three holidays out - is okay for me.

Our local supermarket is still celebrating Halloween. Christmas will come right after.

There is a reason to start preparing for Christmas early this year --- the messed up supply chain. Andy and I no longer have to send presents to relatives, so we're not affected much thank goodness.

I say NO, too! When we go home, I shall be taking all my beloved fall debris down and will start putting Christmas up. While I am never quite ready to part with fall, I need extra time these days to put away one season before getting out the next. Really just Fall and Christmas as I have cut way back on the others.

Hello Sandra, NOOOO, definitely NO! I won't be decorating for Christmas this year. Everyone will be coming for lunch, we'll exchange presents, but, no tree, or other Christmas decorations.

yuck, hate the look of the skeleton dude!
But on the other hand no retailers even open here, due to lockdown! The closest I've got to seeing Christmas here is online stores...

That's funny about the Halloween skeleton escaping and trying on the Santa suit. It is too early!!! However I'm thinking of starting my tree in hopes of getting motivated for Christmas.
