Five Years Today and Counting

On January 26, 2017, I woke up sick after overeating for days. I decided I needed to kick my Sugar Addiction and Go Cold Turkey.  I gave up Sugar and I said to myself,

Hello, My Name is Sandra, and I am a Sugar Addict!

Today is Five Years of No Sugar. No cookies, No candy, No pies, no Cake.

Above shows from the beginning to November 2019, each photo down 10 lbs

I have reached my goal set by my doctor and am now down 70 pounds.

Photo taken January 19, 2022

If you think it was easy getting these 2 photos, Hang ON. The MadSnapper will not disappoint you! The Rest of the story coming soon.

I am NOT sending you a message using sign language; I am waving at my cell phone to make it take my photo.   No, My Brain did not lose weight.

OR did it?

My story is under TOPS label HERE because I joined TOPS Take off Pounds Sensibly 2 weeks after I went off Sugar. I have not attended since March 15 of 2020.

You look younger now than you did in 2017. Congratulations on achieving your goal even without access to the group.

Hello Sandra. Such a great achievement, and it was all worth the effort, for I'm sure it wasn't easy, but you do look a lot younger now, and must feel a lot healthier. You're a strong woman Sandra, and I admire you're guts in reaching your goal.

I am SO proud of you! A lot of people lose weight but then can't keep it off...that is the hardest part! But you look beautiful and I know you feel better too! Look at that smile! I love it!

I jump on the admiration bandwagon here... not for how you look, but for how you achieved it - grit and determination required!!! CONGRATS on the five years. YAM xx

Happy Anniversary!!!
You remind me of a magnet I used to keep on my fridge door: "Nothing tastes as good as feeling slim feels."

Sandra BRAVO BRAVO x 100000000 well done.
For sure the saying is true about it being easier to gain than lose weight.

AWESOME !!!
I know I overwork that word but what you have done is really awesome.
Lots of pounds and a totally new person!
I truly don't know how you can be off sugar completely..
the battle of the bulge is real and I'm back to behaving myself and determined to get those 10 pounds off of me again. Slow and carefully...
I'm Sue and I'm a CARB-aholic...
To be continued

I agree, you really look younger year by year. I remember it well, the day you posted about quitting sugars. I'm so proud of you, I am so very happy for you. And I admire you so very much. I know now that once you set your mind to do something, you will do it.

You know I have to walk now. When I don't feel like it, I will think of you.

And that's the highest compliment I can give you.

Good for. you. I took off a lot of weight about 25 years ago-also no sugar- and have kept most of it off for the duration. I do have some sugar now and then but I am no longer addicted to it like I once was. Proud of you, Sandra. You look wonderful- xo Diana

Congratulations, at least you didn't have to buy a two story house with a pool to get those results. lol

I'm so proud of you. You really stuck to you plan. I have to say "no" and do the same thing. I don't eat much sugar anyway but I just need to tell Mark no more Doordash and concentrate on a healthy diet. You look so skinny! I haven't gained weight in 7 years which I am proud of but that's not good enough.

Visible proof of wonderful determination and a life well-lived as evidenced by that smile. Also your "whole body" photos are proof you are keeping up healthy eating strategies.

Looking great!
