I am here to Talk

Each morning I drink hot Peppermint tea to settle my IBS tummy. Bob and I drink our coffee in bed, and for me it is tea first then coffee.

I came back to bed and because I had no cup in my hand, Bob said, did your drink your tea?

This is my reply to Bob's yes or no question.

You know when I make my tea each morning, I only drink half. So yesterday I put the left over in a small red container and put it in the fridge. The lady who writes Living with IBS says cold tea works as well as hot tea, so I decided to try it. It worked just as good.

I am simply unable to answer a question with a simple answer! I could have said

"yes"   or even "Yes, I drank it cold today."

I had to go into detail of why, who told me and also including the fact the container was RED! I just wanted all of you to know, I do realize my posts are too long and I am working on LESS Words.

I speak like I write,  I write like I speak,

You would be shocked if in my brain you did peek!

Is this short enough? How did I do?

I have never thought your posts are too long! Especially compared to some others. Maybe I just think that because I always enjoy them so much.

you are fabulous!! with explaining all you avoid the next questions... nd men always ask more than one question... if we leave them ;O))))

Now that is a cute short post. While going about my day I tend to not say just yes or no, but to explain and give back stories, as you do.

I have to explain everything like this to Tom, he just doesn't listen otherwise. lol
My brain is the same and doesn't stop at night, it seems like I'm dreaming all night and non of it makes any sense.

My ex husband was like that. He always gave way more details than necessary when speaking. Amanda does the same thing. When she's telling me something, it's getting a little long, and the point of the story is nowhere in sight, I will tell her "you are your fathers daughter"
You can talk as much as you want and explain every detail. I enjoy listening (reading)

I personally love your long posts that go into detail!! You leave nothing behind and give us the whole story. I appreciate those more than ones that are cut short.

I enjoy your posts and I love the details. I like tea cold too.
I am glad the peppermint tea is helping. Have a great day!

We do that all the time. I went out to pick up some Mexican food for dinner yesterday afternoon and walk it with a 'story to tell'! I always include every detail of every one I saw...etc etc! Makes life interesting I think! lol Hugs to you both!

Oh, please! Like Billy Joel sang, "Don't go changing ..."

Methinks you've thinking of what my former journalism teacher taught: Only the facts: Who, What, Where, When. When you and I editorialize -- HIS term -- I think we're just that much more interesting. (*grin*)

PS Confession: Now I did spend more than a few minutes earlier, drastically paring down my original post. But ask me to share something outloud in Bible study and there's so much unnecessary stuff that starts spilling out of my mouth. I can't help myself.

Keep on talking. You have got to be you.

Mr B (and all his family) are masters of the long waffling and often pointless diversionary descriptions in relating tales that could be conveyed in a few 'to the point' sentences. F begins to lose the will to live and eventually stops listening. You don't even come close. There is story telling with colour and humour and verbal texture and then there's complete warble. You are still well within category one and we love reading your blog.

I like to hear your talk! Don't go and be stingy with your words now!! Louis Dean talks like you do! He says things like....."for lack of a better a word" and explains and details everything. He uses a lot of words. I don't think I do. Sometimes I want to tell him something and then I think, "No, that would take too many words!"

You did great! That is nice that it works the same way cold or hot. I understand wanting to give all of the details, however Mark doesn't care to listen to them.
