Learn Something New Every Day

I rolled the garbage can/bin to the curb Friday at 6 am and there it was. Sunrise from the front porch.
My intention was to post Sunday Sunrise Only, No Words.

then I found this on Debbie's blog,

Aha! another misspelled word I thought as I read the words new intensions
I thought, that should be intentions.
Verify is my middle name.

Google Girl spell intentions and define, I demanded of my phone.

WHAT? Really? I had no idea and have never encountered the word intension until now.

Goodness, they are two different words! What a shock it was to see your post. You hardly ever post the sky, it is gorgeous!! I LOVE seeing it, because I only see the sunsets. Almost never the sunrises. Looks like the awful storms were not in your area of Florida; I was glad to know that!

You were correct in your TS path....a more southerly route. But, did you get any rain from it? Beautiful sunrise photo. When there are similarly spelled words I have to do a "double take".

Love the sunrise pictures.
I have never heard of the word intension before. I would have thought it was misspelled too.

...do you know what, I wrote a whole other response here, going into semantics and grammar. Then I thought, 'it is Sunday, let it go...' That is one beautiful sunrise. YAM xx

I had not heard the word before either, and if I saw I don't remember it. I would remember those sunrise shots though.

Did you get any bad weather from the storm? I

Well, whaddya know?! Like blogger Rick used to say, "Every day is a school day."

I'd be reluctant to use it, however -- fearing others would think I'm stupid and don't know how to spell.

Wow, I never knew there were 2 different words and pretty much the same meaning.
Fascinating what Your inquiring mind wants to know.
We had lots of rain..well not lots like your downpours...but we had rain overnight and it is still giving us a good soaking rain this morning..Yay!!

I didn't even catch that spelling and I'm very surprised by your finding. Way to go....

I wonder if intension is related to intense and intensive? New to me, anyway, thank you.
