Through The Living Room Blinds 2

The crew finished trimming the oak and backed into the yard putting the mulch maker close to the tree and so they could lift the bucket up to trim the top of the tree.
Notice the shade they were working in. NOW GONE.
By lunch time they were working in 92 degrees feels like 100 in bright sun, because most of the trees were gone.
Here is the view now

the all wore sleeves that pulled up over the nose and a sleeve on the head pulled to the brows, safety sunglasses and helmets. The sawdust from the mulcher was like rain in the air.
I was afraid they would all have heat stroke, and twice took them ice cold watermelon to eat while they took a break.

While taking these two photos I sung the children's song Wheels on a bus
The Bucket on the truck went Up and Down
Up and down
Up and down
the bucket on the truck went up and down
All through the day.

We had our huge Maple Tree in the front yard removed. What a difference the view makes! Also a lot more light in the house because of no shade. Looks like the same for you. I'm glad you kept them alive! The men, not the tree.

Are you going to bake indoors now? F is a great fan of natural light and can't bring herself to close shutters if we are at home on a hot day (even though its the thing to do here - she does lower the blinds on the balcony). We think her light fixation comes of usually living in countries where natural light is often in hues of grey.... xxx Mr T

Watermelon was a great idea - hydration with electrolytes! Gracious but that view is great, you know, for neighbourhood watching and all that... &*> YAM xx

I bet they appreciated the watermelon. I can't imagine having to wear that face covering in the heat.

I feel sorry for the people who have to work outside in the heat. I am sure they appreciated the watermelon. The face covering might be good to wipe off the sweat. The trees in our front yard block the light in our living room, it is always a dark room. Take care, have a happy day!

It sure is hot work but we see workers here in this heat too. My neighbor next door took bottles of water out for our lawn care crew yesterday!

Ps...just read your comment you left for me, and I must tell you I thought of you and all the cattle we saw. Knowing you have told me how much you like cattle.

I'm glad to see those workers are using their noggins (ie, personal protective equipment). That's really nice, you providing them with watermelon. (But I wouldn't have expected anything less.) For some reason this year's heat is taking its toll. I've two friends from church who suffered from heat exhaustion and had to be taken to the ER -- and one's lived here for many years.

That shade is a huge difference! Nice of you to bring them watermelon.

Those guys know what they are doing. I have had tree trimmers at my house as well and marvel at their skills.
