the word of the day for Sunday was Devolve. I confess I have never heard the word, read the word and will never use the word, so if you want to know what it means, look it up.
I am here to ask if you have seen this ad that is following me around, this is what shows on Word of The Day quite often.
I do not click on ads, because they are simply Click Bait!the 3rd time I saw this, I decided to do Google Search asking Why should I wrap Foil around the doorknob when alone. The reason I don't, is things like this are Click Bait!
From there on my dive down the curiosity hole had me giggling like a mad woman.
Click Here to Giggle, it took me to Quora, where people wade in with their answers to the question.
Below are just a few answers to the question from the link.

So the peanut butter and jelly smeared on the doorknob will still be fresh in the morning.
and next this guy had Three answers for why.

It has nothing to do with aliens. The aliens discovered this trick and developed a workaround years ago.
However, if you’re in the United States and you live in the country, the foil will help discourage Bigfoot from entering your home.
My cousin lives in Northern California, and he has been putting foil on his doorknob for years. Not once has Bigfoot entered his home.
On a more practical level, you will have to remove the foil in order to lock/unlock the door, and this may help prevent you from locking yourself out.
I pulled up Google and typed......... No, Really, why put foil on my doorknob? found this
If you can't afford a camera or a ring bell, put the foil there and if you wake up the next morning and it has been moved or ripped you will know someone tried to come in your door. Next go buy the ring bell.
The most giggles came from a blond lady who asked, HOW do I attach aluminum foil to my doorknob?
CAN YOU GUESS WHAT I DID NEXT??
Yes, I did type the question in Google Search.... The Best Answer was
Go to the store, buy the aluminum foil, drive home, cut a piece big enough to fit the knob, wrap and squeeze...

Devolve is what parliaments in the UK have been doing. On a more useful note the laughs were very appreciated - good to know that irony for humour is also alive and well across the Pond. xxx Mr T and F
You really found a goldmine of weird hilarity! I subscribe to Quora in my e-mail, and get two mails a day from them. But the questions and answers I get are serious; I have never seen anything like this!
Thank you for the laughs. You're a woman after my own heart. ❤️
For me, the link doesn't work ~
These people are in the genius category!! hehehehe.
I don't think I have ever heard that word either.
Lots of interesting answers for the aluminum foil on the doorknob. I hate ads like that. You want to know what they say but you don't want to play the click game only to never find the answer.

Yup. As Tigger says, we know the word devolve all too well in the UK. Here in Scotland, as a devolved nation, we would like to increase that to separated!
As for the tinfoil doorknob hats... 🤬 YAM xx
Hello,
Thanks for the laughs. My hubby would not want to waste the aluminum foil.
I hate the click bait websites, they are so annoying.
Take care, have a happy day!
I'm a natural blond so I'm glad you cleared that up! hahahaha!!!
... and come a good wind or rainstorm, that aluminum ('tin') foil's a goner!
At least there's a comic relief; some people are so clever.
I get that advertisers are scrambling for share but hate this click bait with a purple passion!!! 'Not saying I'm always successful, but ya. Consulting Google Girl saves a lot of grief.
Well that is too funny about the doorknob. Evidently blond lady has never used tin foil. LOL
Hugs Cecilia
Good Grief!!!
I wonder if someone sits up all night thinking up this stuff?
Thanks for my giggle this morning.

Those are some crazy findings. Mark bought a ring doorbell about six or 8 months ago. He's never put it up!!!
BOL....we'll just stick to our front door camera
You are just full of information...
Those answers are a hoot and so are you. Thanks for being a hoot, you brighten the day :)
suddenly, well not suddenly all my pals with blogger that I follow - has stopped sending me "new post from...xyz" - have no idea when that happened.
anyway I don't have a door knob on either door, but what fun answers that people have come up with...
I saw that, but didn't check. I couldn't figure it out.
