I booted my computer and clicked on my Feedly Breaking news!
this is the photo that came up first.
The Sorce of Photo and news, Spectrum News
The Town, Daytona Beach, Florida
Age of house, 102 years old
Age of woman sleeping in the bedroom it fell on, 80 years old
Firemen were able to work their way through and reach her and she survived.
According to officials, the 102-year-old home above is beyond repair.
I have decided if I have nothing to post about why not do Crazy NEWS from the MAD-Bloviator
I saw this in my breaking news, and I told Bob, I may never sleep in our bed again.
The tree over our bedroom is 3 times the size of this one, and every time a storm comes, I can't sleep for waiting for the tree to fall.
and along comes IAN
IT"S COMING, but where will it hit. Florida for sure but WHERE?
We Watch!
I hope none of my friends were in the line of Fiona in Canada

wow, that must have been dreadful for the lady
- just about every time there is a storm here, some big tree falls - the last time it was a super big pine that fell onto to a busy thru' road and took a few hours to clear away. I've since noticed that that the golf course has felled a lot more trees...
That's scary! Stay safe! Fingers crossed about the storm, that's crazy about Canada.
That is so unlucky and lucky at the same time. What a scary freak event. The tree looks like a nice tree too

I had a close shave of very similar in one of Sydney's mini tornadoes... luckily only a window pane was damaged but I was clearing timber for weeks. It does put you on edge! YAM xx
We had all our trees removed that was too close for comfort. In Colorado we had a tree fall on the roof...I woke up to branches coming thru our ceiling!!!
This morning the hurricane center has the eye farther up the panhandle. Be safe.
Oh how incredibly scary. That poor woman. I hope she wasn't hurt badly. Now what will she do since her house is beyond repair?
We no longer have a tree right on top of us, however, I feel sure the cottonwood across the street woujd reach us. At least their tops.i think we got ours down just in time. .the big old maple was starting to rot in the middle.
That's beyond frightening! I just had the girls out back and was eyeballing the surrounding trees. Thankfully, Joshua (our tree guy) pointed out which were likely to succumb when he removed them a couple years ago. No guarantees, but at least if these were to fall they'd only take out the sunroom, dining room -- and kitchen (yippee).
We're keeping our eye on Ian and saying prayers for Florida.
Sending purrs and hugs with a tiny bit of hope Ian will do what hurricanes often do turn out into the ocean.

Oh my goodness. Glad she was okay. Our last house had one of those too over the bedroom.
It seems trees can be the bane of our existence. Sort of scary
Hope Ian will pass you by.
Its going to be another hot one today but at least this time its church and home again. Don't have Lynne duty today.

Hello Sandra :=)
That poor lady must have been in shock. I hope she wasn't hurt too badly. There is a huge tree, the one you once asked about, that could possibly reach my bedroom, if we had a violent storm. I think about it every time there are high velocity winds. When trees do fall on the farm in bad weather it's usually Pine trees, because their roots tend to be short, and they are easily uprooted, whereas the other conifers are deep rooted.
Sandra, you asked about the reason for my computer troubles. Well, I'm not sure if it's Googles fault, my computer, or a virus. It is driving me crazy!
I hope you will be safe from the storm.
Oh my, that tree that fell is something else!!! We are watching the weather station and keeping you in my prayers.
Oh wow! Angels were on that dear lady's shoulders. So glad she survived. That's scary! Glad you got yours cut down. Will be thinking of you all down there.
