wheel chair

I walked Beau today for the first time in 7 days.

It was a scary week, will give details a few at a time. I pulled a muscle that had been aching for a week or more, I think because of too much time in front of the computer.
Reached down to pull up my pant and the muscle cramped and I could not.
Stand up.
Lay Down
Shift in Bed.

I was dressing to take bob to Dermatologist visit, and between puffing air and ouches and at times.

I considered calling 911, which I have never done, but called my doctor instead.
She said come into the office if you can.
There was much screaming and ouching and a few tears.
just getting me dressed.
For the first time ever, I went to doctor office with no bra on, underwear and a diaper only because.
Bob had to drop a house dress over my head.
we got to the office and went thought the same ouch/scream/puffing air as when in labor.
this pain was a tie with labor pains.
I am glad you could not hear/see me when we got to the office.
Bob got a wheelchair and could not get the foot thing to work,

so got another one without footrest, then tried to push me to the bathroom while we waited and i could not pick up my feet without screaming.
He transferred me to one with a footrest and
Pushed in the Womens Restroom, with permission of the front desk person,
and had to get in the stall with me and the wheelchair and pull down and pull up diaper and get me in and out of the chair.
Saw the NA, got RX for muscle relaxers called in, went through the same procedure in reverse.

Back in car with same results

Each time he stomped the brakes, I screamed!
The end result was a minor miracle.
Bob had three first in our 38 years of marriage.
HE WENT TO DOCTOR APPT WITH OUT ME
HE DROVE ME TO THE DOCTOR
HE PICKED UP PRESCRIPTION
ALONE! ( he used his debit card to pay 80 cents for the prescription) OV VEY!
Not sure how posting/visiting will go.

Hello,
I am glad to see an update from you, I have been thinking of you all week.
I can only imagine the pain, I hope the muscle relaxers are working for you.
You must be feeling somewhat better to be able to walk Beau, that is a good thing. It is great Bob was able to help you at doctors, getting your meds and going to his own appointment. Take care and have a happy day!

You've NO IDEA how happy I am to 'see' you back on my screen! Not so happy, realizing what you endured ... that's worse than I could have imagined. Props to Bob, tho.' They can say what they want about roses and chocolates, but in my book, THAT's love.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! Terrible time you had. I am so sorry you went through all that but good to see you posting again. Don’t overdo it though. I hope you are feeling much better than what you were feeling. Sounds like an absolute nightmare! Hope you are back to 100% before too long.

I have had back pain and only been able to lay on the carpet. I remember Tom literally crawling to the loo when his back was bad so I know what you are talking about.
the meds should help a lot and rest, you'll soon be okay, just remember that you have a dodgy back as it's all too easy to forget and do it again.
I hope you are soon back to normal.
Lots of love
Briony

We missed you too - glad to see you’re back in the land of the living.

That certainly was not a good place to be in ( not trying to be one up on you but I’ve been in similar circumstances and agree, it was not good). We’re fine knowing you are on the mend so take it easy and when you’re up to it let us know how you’re doing

I am so, so sorry you are in this kind of pain. Is it anything a chiropractor could help? I would have had back surgery by now without wonderful help from my chiropractors.
Whatever it is that will get you better, I just hope you find it. Lots of love and prayers coming your way.
