Guess what's trending???

Bing Designer trending maxie skirts 2024

Guess what trending? Did you guess Maxie Skirts? Trending Skirts HERE Maxie skirts are BACK!   I had 4 of them back in the early 90's.  Are you pondering just why I am telling you this????

Here is the answer!

I bought one! I do not look like AI women above.  I was too ashamed to take a photo of me in it. I did seflies in the mirror of me holding m trendy skirt. Maxie skirts have been around and around and around over the years. First women fought to wear short skirts and did, then back to the long, back to the short, all because of Fashion Trends.

Am I a fashion person? that would be a NO!  Here is my excuse. I have really bad varicose veins. I went to the doctor and the only clothing I have are leggings and shirts. I had to wear that to the doctor. She wanted to see my leg.

Have you ever had to peel off leggins in a doctor's office? Taking them off and putting them back on is like an Olympic event when a person is OLD. I stepped in Bealls Outlet to see if they had wide leg pants that would be easier to remove. They Did but wow were they ugly. The store had racks and racks of maxie skirts.

I BOUGHT ONE! Next time I need to show my legs to the doctor I will wear the skirt, that will be the only time I wear it. you Will never ever sees a photo of me in it. or another one of me just holding it.

The good news is, it was only 12 dollars, and if I ever have the burning desired to TREND I can!!!!

WELL. First, you can't look that bad in it, since you lost all that weight and are thin now! It sure is a good idea for the doctor visits. And you would have to look better in it than in those ugly really wide pants. I think they are Pallazzo pants. They make everyone look like either a maid or a homeless person.

Hello,
The maxi skirts do look comfy, perfect for wearing to the doctors office.
The price was awesome too. Take care, have a great day!

I remember them, I used to wear them and I would probably wear one again if I had one. The thing is though, I like dresses/skirts but think I look terrible in them.

I suspect that you are being a little too critical of yourself and that you look perfectly fine in your new skirt.

I do see why you felt it worth buying even if only to wear for visits to the doctor. But I don't get why you think you couldn't wear it in other contexts too! I've always liked long skirts (over short ones) ever since they first came in fashion in my youth. I prefer "midi" to "maxi" though (easier to walk in). Bought a thin black midi one a couple of years ago, it can also be worn with black leggings underneath in winter. I do usually wear trousers though.

Indo.love Ginnys comment! About the wide leg pants.

I will wear mine if you wear yours. They are so comfy. But I know what you mean about feeling rather conspicuous in them at our “age”. Still if women can wear red hats and purple dresses and get away with it then why not maxi skirts? I vote yes!! Pam at Closed Doors Open windows.

That's a heck of a good deal for $12!

I remember those days - and I had them too. So they are coming back and those halter tops!
Great idea about wearing them to the doctor. I don't think I could - I would look like Frosty the Snowman!

Now you're making me want to go shopping!
How can I forget my favorite skirt?! Only when the backside cloth gave way to an unflattering 'view' did I feel it necessary to throw it away. Pretty sure I'm too old to wear any of those tops -- especially to church -- but that doesn't mean I'm not going to keep my eyes out.

Great idea of wearing that to the doctor's office!

I think you must look great in it, such a pretty pattern. I was wearing a maxi skirt the night I met Gregg. You do well on your AI pictures.

I'm also going to keep my eye out...A couple of these would be great to have for the warm weather!

I always loved long dresses and skirts. Maybe I will find a few for summer time. It gets hot here too.
My legs are so bad with the veins and bulges where there shouldn't be any that I don't like showing my legs. At least my ankles aren't so swollen as they used to be before I lost that weight.
Pants are my everyday attire. Warmer and works for any activity.
Looks like we are going to have 11 of our small group coming for dinner tonight.
Its an easy peasy potluck so there's no real pressure on any of us.
Giving the house a good once over and getting the table out for that amount of people. Think we will have to add a card table so we don't poke an eye out eating elbow to elbow..

Hope the rain will stop before they come.

Love the skirt! Brings back some memories, too. Colors were great.

Sadly or maybe it's a good thing that I do not remember those skirts and do not follow fashion trends. I will take your word, Sandra, on the skirt being easier than leggings when in a doctor's office, but then I have worn those either so am not really in style.

Good for you! It's a great solution to the doctor problem, and it didn't got too much. Hurray for that!

BING has chosen very 'ethnic' designed skirts - and very narrow women to display them on! Yours is very colourful and I hope that you enjoy wearing it in hot weather as well as to the Drs.

I think the skirts are really cute. I'm glad you bought one. I can't remember ever owning one. No, I have not had to peel down my leggings in the doctor's office. That was a good price you got.
