Village of the Arts

I found something new to me on Google Earth. Above is the house as I saw it last week in 2024.

Above is the same house snipped from Google Earth maps and how it looked in 2022
Below is how it looked in 2018
I notice the words at the top circled in yellow it says see other years. I clicked on it and went all the way back to 2007. Then I looked at my house and a few others. Some of the homes, we can see the way they were before they were fixed up and painted. Just one more play toy for me.

this snip from Google Map shows you what it looks like in the years before.

this house is not in the Village and is what the majority of houses look like here. I took it because its beautiful to me

Palmettos plants and a bougainvillea above and below the carriage I love and would put it in my yard if they gave it to me. I am a Cinderella Believer

I love how it is a very pale aqua. I love the ranch house before the red bush photo!!

I love both the first house and the ranch one. I like that second-story deck on the first one, but I love the trees and shade around the ranch one.

How cool is that. They made it very easy to see what a house had looked like over the years. Not much has changed here other than it's looking older

Do you think the Tooth Fairy would come in the carriage too? Imagine that, Cindy and the Tooth Fairy together. Does it get any better?

I so live that house/yard that you love. Just something about that yard is what draws me to it.

I love both houses. The first house look like they put up a new fence and deck railing. I like the darker color green too. The ranch house is a favorite, I like everything on one level. The bougainvillea is beautiful.
Take care, have a happy weekend.

I love how you explore right there from your chair! Google Earth is an excellent way to travel, including through time... YAM xx

I always notice the greenery around these pretty houses. How the trees have grown! I would love some of the colourful plants in our garden although Mediterranean flowers would probably not look quite right in our English garden and the climate wouldn't suit them either.

That's pretty interesting that you found a time machine to travel back in!

Wonderful houses! I love the balcony on the first and the surroundings, but practicality pushes me towards the ranch. We have stairs and they are becoming a pain in more ways than one. Love the Cinderella Coach! Me too on your last sentence :)

It would look totally out of place here, but I love that home's 2018 colors. Makes one put on some Jimmy Buffett!

That one you like looks so restful. A soft spot on which to land after a stressful day.

Now I've got to check out Google Earth!

HaHa Sandra...I knew my post would Freak you out...
Really and truly I wasn't in any danger.
Dave was near by, taking the photos...He couldn't get up there at all.
I thought it all out ahead of time to get up there. I used our heavy duty 2 step- step stool. Stepped up on the lower step and was able to put my backside on the counter...then it was the process of swiveling my backside around and putting my feet in the sink. I honestly didn't feel shakey or like I was going to fall at all.
Dave put all the glass ware up again for me. He could stretch better than I for the top shelf.
Obviously this will probably be the only time I do this. Once every 10 years is often enough!!! haha
I haven't put any greenery or flowers in the glass. The area really gets too hot from the elements.
All the glass is so pretty shining in the sunlight after it had a super bath.
Thanks for caring about me.

That is so cool to see what things looked like years ago.

That is really something about that house. I do like how it looked in 2022 and how it looks now. I think the houses in your neighborhood look nice too.

Oh what fun! I love looking at interesting houses! And that app for seeing them in previous years is really cool! I love the house with the trees and flowers, etc. too. I prefer a house on the ground as opposed to a two story house, at this stage in life stairs are not really our friend. We have about 6 steps going up into our home (a manufactured home), and we know that eventually we will either have to move or get a ramp. Not sure which I prefer. Probably the ramp. I really don't want to move again if I can help it. Take care and enjoy the views around you!
