Thursday evening the downed fence to our neighbor's yard went back up and I thought, HOPE and I took this photo Friday morning after my walk with Beau. As we wandered along, Beau sniffed critter trails, and I captured another sign of
HOPE. |
Also, the sun rises and the sun sets; And hastening to its place it rises there again.
Ecclesiastes 1:5 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
After watching this sunrise until it faded, I wandered around the desert that our Jungle Oasis has become, and there were signs of HOPE everywhere I looked.
A single red hibiscus on the ugly splintered bush that was 8 feet tall and is now a broken stick.

Gorgeous sky! And amid all the dirt and mess, you see spots of real beauty!
After our 2011 fire we couldn't go up to the land for almost a month. When we went I took pictures of the little plants that were starting to grow amidst the devastation. I'm happy your plants are starting to come back. ❤️

This made me smile... thank you. YAM xx
it is like that... and with hope trust and power comes back...
So many signs of hope right there in your own yard.
Perhaps in a perverse way it takes a tragedy to make us notice these signs of hope. Even in the face of stark realism there can still be hope.
There's always hope isn't there!? And it's not false hope that the world offers but hope through Jesus Christ our Lord. The best hope of all. All this is temporary. Better things are comin' for those of us who put our trust in Him.
My favorite photos are the sunrise / sunset photos. They always make me smile.

How you've lifted my heart! I've always loved that phrase, "like Phoenix rising from the ashes" and the hibiscus bush is a wonderful illustration. The alpha and the omega. Isn't God so good.
These are all great signs of HOPE and what a Blessing that the Lord sends even the smallest thing to reassure us that HE knows right where we are. His love for us brings us HOPE even when we are frustrated. I admire you for getting out and finding the joyful things....
I'm so happy to see the signs of HOPE at your place!!!
What a joy to have the fence fixed and you, bob and Beau have privacy and safety
Hugs Cecilia
It's encouraging to see the improvements and repairs! It sure takes a lot of hard work and time! Hugs!
Wonderful on the fence back up. Love that. Single flower also pretty. Hope is a wonderful thing.
What a wonderful word HOPE is, and I love seeing all the things that are bringing hope into your life!
What a lovely post on Hope and I'm happy to hear you say this. The fence looks great and I love seeing your photos of the sky.
Nature is wonderfully resilient! I'm glad for you that the fence is up again, and that you're also able to find signs of HOPE!
I adore your signs of HOPE, especially that hibiscus showing its Strength among the rubble.
Magnificent sunrise..the harbinger of better days.

Maybe this time next year there will be a lot more spots of beauty.
I LOVE These signs of HOPE! Thank YOU for noticing them and sharing them with us. It gives us hope as well. God loves to give us hope in the midst of storms and disasters. He is always with us and never forsakes us. The sunrise is GORGEOUS! and that red hibiscus is glorious! And the fence being put back up is wonderful! Yes, God is with us. He will never forsake us. Hooray for HOPE!
I felt so happy inside to read the hope you saw. It makes me feel better to know you feel better. Sometimes you don't appreciate things till they are gone. And things will grow back with a little patience - or a lot.
There’s always hope! I’m pleased you are beginning to see the hope. The little gifts, God sprinkles around your yard; the flower of a line hibiscus! Your yard has a new beginning and that’s wonderful. You will too! Praises to God, who saw you both through yet another hurricane. Psalm 91:1-2
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust” psalm 46; 1-2
