Always Be Kind ❤❤❤❤

Good morning! I survived the PREP! UGH! I am posting now because I hit the lotto of 1 pm for my test and of course woke up at my normal early hour. Because of an unking nurse, I suffered more than I had to. When she called to tell me my time, she sounded mad and rude. I questioned her about adjusting the instructions, because the paper I had said they would adjust it if the appt was later in the day. She said "just follow the instructions you were given" and hung up. SHE WAS NOT KIND,

I was able to lay down and sleep a little at 9 and at midnight, I awoke to my heart pounding so hard I could hear it in my ears. I got up and took BP and it was high with Heart rate 97.. I looked at the PREP JAR, UGH again and it said its pure salt and could cause dehydration, and to watch for signs. Even though it said  no water after midnight, I drank 1/2 glass and hour later HR down to 87 and dropping.

I called the surgery center at 7 am and got a Really Kind Nurse. She told me I could have 1 cup of coffee, now, and water and broth until 10 am. Nothing after that.

I guzzled a glass of water and with in 10 minutes felt better, sipped coffee and head ache was gone. COFFEE ADDICTION, yes! a cup of broth and I am back to MYSELF! and awaiting pickup by my friend Karla, driving her Chariot of Kindness to deliver me at 1pm.

YOU KNOW there will be more details, because that is the KIND of person I am, ha ha

THANK YOU FOR BEING MY FRIENDS!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I found this quote on Jablog yesterday,  and it is so very true.

Humans are fragile, confidence and self-belief easily crushed. ‘We should be kind while there is still time.’ Philip Larkin (1922-1985)

Hello,
That is a shame the first nurse was mean, I always thought they were supposed to help you feel better, not worse. I am glad you were able to drink some water and coffee. Yes, we can all be kind.
Take care, have a wonderful day!

Too bad that first nurse was so nasty. We're glad to hear you survived the prep and can't wait to hear all the details of the procedure. LOL!

I'm SO glad to see you! I was worried that it had not turned out well when I didn't see a post last night. But then I figured you were just totally exhausted. I cannot WAIT to hear all the details! I have spent quite a bit of time in various hospitals. And there is ALWAYS one bad nurse in the bunch. They are aways ALL very kind except that ONE. Love your pretty purple kind logo, and the pretty palm trees.

I'm sorry you had a nasty nurse. She is in the wrong profession! I'm a nurse too and have met a few like that in my years....
Praying all goes well!

You know what - if I get an unkind person when I call - I hang u p and call back and then I usually get a kinder person. Good for you. You are done through the worst part now. The rest is a piece of CAKE!

What an AWFUL person, that nurse. I'd say something (after the fact) to her boss ... or if you'd like, I will. (Really ... I'm putting off taking my 'kind' pill.)
Here, I was thinking you were already one-and-done, sleeping the day away.
Thank you for this update, and I love the quote you found.

When I had surgery on my knee, there was one nurse who was terrible. She wouldn’t come in when I used the call button. I figured she was obviously having a bad day but still. I did anonymously report her. She was that bad.

The worst is done. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the story

I'm SO thankful you talked to that nurse this morning and that she was so helpful and KIND!! That is what this world needs a lot more of, kindness! It doesn't take a lot of extra time or energy to just be kind. Praying the rest of the day goes smoothly. Soon it will all be over and you can eat and drink to your heart's content! (((hugs)))

I'm feeling a bit time confused at the moment (not sure if Blogger is showing your time or mine) but I hope the rest of your ordeal went/will go well...

I'm sorry you got that awful and mean nurse. Not nice at all. Being kind isn't that hard.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Hugs to you and scritches to Beau. ♥

I don't understand people who can not respect their job and their patients. There was no reason for her to be rude to you. Thankful that your headache has gone away. Prayers for you as you go through this test. Hoping you rest afterwards and just let yourself relax. Sending hugs and prayers.

There is never an excuse for a lack of kindness and a sympathetic word when needed, especially by health care professionals who are dealing with people already under stress. Thankfully, a redeemer came along.

One does wonder why some people enrol for caring jobs if they don't care. Classes in empathy might have to be part of training.

Purrhaps the nurse just dealt with a jerk. I know that they (jerks) can make me cranky (and less kind). I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. And I have found that being extra kind/nice/surgary sweet, these people have a tendency to quit being such ass hats. Nuff said. My Dad just had a colonoscopy on Monday! He got to watch it on the monitor. I'm glad that I was not there. I can't wait to hear how it all went! Keep being awesome! Mom Barb

Every once in a while there will be an unkind nurse. Sorry you had to suffer from one of them. I'm with you: always be kind. Makes life so much less drama (I do NOT like drama). Steve likes to say, "Kindness is never wasted." I agree. Hope everything works out OK and you get a good report.
Blessings & Prayers. 💞

Nasty medical staff should be fired on the spot. You should be home by now, I hope all is well.

That first nurse was completely incompetent as well as being nasty. I'm glad the second one was nicer and more helpful.

Being in the helath care business myself, for MANY years, people like your nurse #1 should have to get inlike back att hem...thaen they might feel what its like. YOu were concerned, and she didn't even vaslidate that! I hope she is like that to the wrong person and then gets sanctioned/eduacted and fired. So glad Nurse #2 was kind.
I imagine your next post will tell all of us how things were just great, and that you don't have to back for another scope for years to come! (here it's 5 for a polyp, and 10 if nothing found.)
God bless you, and also He will take care of Bob and Beau!

I hope you are now recovering and putting the unpleasantness to bed.

Wow, that was a rude nurse. To just tell you to follow the instructions and hang up was not at all kind of her. I would say she's in the wrong line of work. I'm glad that the second one was nice.
