Our Back yard is very uneven. Bob is having issues with walking with shoes on and walks better barefoot because he always has and can feel the ground better. I remembered the moccasins we bought some 25 years ago, in a Stuckey's gift shop (tourist trap on Florida roads) and that I had stored them in a box. Now both his and hers sit by the back door and he says it's almost as good as barefoot. we have had a month of too cold to go barefoot.
If this post seems like nonsense, well, that is because it is.

This is a great idea! How awesome that you remembered them, and knew how good they would work!!
Yes, I'm so glad you remembered them!
They look very comfortable too.
i like mocassins... the only shoes you can wear when your feet want no shoes ;I)

Oh yes, I'm a fan of moccasins, too... YAM xx
Good morning Sandra :)
Yes, I remember how comfy moccasins are! When Americo and I were in the States I bought a pair of genuine Indian Moccacins and when I returned home I walked up to the Roman Ruins in them and they were more comfortable than my slippers. Americo bought a leather jacket with fringes along the arms also Indian crafted. I eventually wore my moccacins out, but wish I still had them. I hope all one of your posts, went well with your exam. I'll try and find out in one of your posts.
Next to last line should read I hope all went well with your exam.
My hubby has a pair too, they do look comfy.
Take care, have a great day!
A comfortable pair of shoes is worth its weight in gold.
Wade used to wear moccasins at home. I remember when I was maybe a teen, my brother actually made a pair for himself.
But your post is not nonsense at all. You have an amazing ability to take a mundane event or object and turn it into a whimsical, entertaining narrative for us all to enjoy. The story of the moccasins is a great example of this skill of yours. You have proven that a row of shoes by any other name is not just a row of shoes. It is a Sandra Saga. We look forward to more.

The moccasins were a great idea! I like to go barefoot too but it's far too cold for that right now!
Stuckey's, yes! And wasn't there another one similar (rival) Horne's?
Those look like the two pair Tom has ... strewn this way and that around his recliner. But how do y'all keep them so clean?! I, too, love going barefoot -- provided I'm indoors. Nope, don't trust what lurks outside.
I remember Stuckey's. We used to have them around. I don't think I've ever owned a pair of moccasins. I need to be on the lookout for a pair. I'm definitely a barefoot gurl...or flip flops. Hoping your test results are better than better.
Thrilled you found them - I hate him to go barefoot outside! lol
I love moccasins and remember having several pairs in younger days. They are so soft and comfy. Glad there is something Bob will wear when he isn't barefoot.
I do love how you think and develop a blog for us to enjoy!

Those do look like some comfy moccasins! I remember stopping at Stuckey's during road trips as a kid!
Good shoes have become more important as we are older. I will have to shop for some.
I miss wearing high heels. They used to make me feel so elegant. Now it's comfy shoes all the way like y'alls moccasins. It was so warm today I had my Skecher sandals on. That felt so nice.
Love & Blessings. ❤️
Ha - our Mom can't walk anywhere barefoot at all!!! She has the most sensitive feet. And she loves moccasins, but they are always too wide for her super skinny feet - she just walks right out of them. But they sure sound like a great option for you two.
We are so glad we pups don't have to worry about footwear.

I love this! I have been wanting to buy some moccasins for my hubby to wear in the house. He often goes barefoot, but it has been too cold for that, especially since we don't have carpet anymore. But shoes with a rubber soul on them sometimes are too stiff for him and he tends to scuff his feet as he walks and it makes a scraping sound on the floor that drives me crazy. The only moccasins I could find were just too expensive, so I am still looking. Regular slippers do not work, again, as they now have outside rubber soles on them and are too stiff. So I am on the lookout for some not too expensive moccasins. For me, I need a shoe with more arch support so can't wear moccasins. I loved this post and the picture. I think it's great!
Nope, not nonsense at all, and I can't believe you 1. still had and 2. could find your moccasins from so long ago. I, too, love barefoot and moccasins. My hubby bought me a pair of moccasins several years ago to wear as house shoes, and when they fell apart from wear, I found another pair I am still wearing. And, I wear sandals until my toes would freeze off, LOL!
