Glasses and Palm Trees, OH My!

I stood in the sun, to take the shot of my glasses, because in the shade they disappeared and yes, my eyes are squinted because I was blind and could not see the screen when I took this selfie. I may have cropped the wrinkles and chins out of the photo. Focus on the Glasses.

I paid more for these new glasses than I paid for my first car in 1963, a 56 Chevy, that was only $500.00
I wear only Silhouette, because they have no rims and weigh nothing and I don't know they are on my face. Rimless also allows me better peripheral vision.
A few days later Bob and I were in the lobby of his primary care physician, and I sat admiring these and wanting to take them home.
You can guess what I did next?

It was instant love. This office is 2 miles from our beaches and is decorated with paintings of  beach scenes. I took them home as photos.
I tried to paint my own. Copy Cat Fail

I started with this
 and this
and this and deleted both and

and started over

and ended with these, close but no bananas...
I may keep trying and I may not

breathe for calmness and less stres

I created the top graphic in Procreate in English and the one below in Hebrew, in PicMonkey.
The backgrounds were found by searching for Yahweh written in Hebrew

if you enlarge this one you can see how the letters correspond

While reading a fictional story by one of my favorite authors, Susan May Warren, story line, was a woman in the story was living in chaos, a lot like my life now and she was told: When you feel anxiety and are overwhelmed and you think you can't go on, breathe the name of "Yahweh"

she described it as breathing the YH in through nose and WH out the  mouth.
Its so simple, no counting involved, and when I am anxious, even in bed,
I breath YH....in and WH.... in and out , a cry out to God, Lord, Adonai, a simple breath, in and out seeking strength and comfort.

I thought this was something the author wrote, but when you type in breathe YHWH their is much to read if you desire to overthink or understand more.
I said to myself,  Don't overthink it Sandra, Juts try it. Just Do it. It can't hurt you, it might help you.

("Yahweh" (YHWH) is the four-consonant name of God in the Hebrew Bible, often translated as "LORD" or "Adonai" in English.)
NOTE: I have tried many breathing techniques and one is 4-2-6 and 4-7-8, they are ways to breathe that calms us. I am not linking or listing but just type in breathing exercises and will be many.

Push, Pull, Pinch and Twirl Caturday ART

All of these were done with 1 or 2 brushes, I started each one with texture brush Bragoni. the graph above shows the steps I used
add texture, liquify crystals, add colors and liquify, twirl, pinch and push..

I did not like the black splotches so deleted them

This was the first, and as I escaped into la la land, you can see in order how it went.

these would be good for black light posters

I named the above Unicorn. do you see it? if not what do you see?

I thought I was through with the above but when I viewed on desk top I saw
three aliens... scroll down and tell me if you found them.

Parking Lot Photography

As part of my exercise program, anywhere I go, I park as far away from the door I will use and that makes me walk more. The shopping center here, has 5 stores, Dollar Tree and Publix, the two I visit most. See that bike? it is in my parking spot. there is never anyone in it, because I go early.
Publix is at the other end of the shopping center; it is a long walk there and back and again to return the basket.
Do you park in the same spot each time you shop or visit somewhere? I do it at all places I visit. It also helps to find your car if you have that issue

These were taken in Parking lot of My eye doctor, we were waiting for it to open at 9, and
when I took these four, bob said, what are you taking a picture of. When I showed him the photos he said I did not see those reflections until you showed me the picture and now, I see them.

The 2 above, are the last two I took. 2 below, are the first two. Notice how much difference there is them.
Below I got the dashboard of the car and just aimed and clicked and above I LOOKED at what i could see and moved the cell phone to get the top of the tree and no dashboard,
poked the screen and adjusted the f-stop with sliding finger.
Above are sharper and clear and more pleasing to the eye. there are many video on youtube on how to use a cell phone like it is a dslr camera

Smile, a message by Copy Cat

To your left above, Ann from Ann's SnapEditScrap draws in her tablet and I Copy it on my iPad with procreate and in my own style.

The Lantern says, "Be a Light For All to See!"

Our simple smile can:
 brighten someone's day .
Uplift and Inspire
instantly brighten someone's mood
offer a moment of joy
offer Connection and/or Kindness:
make others feel seen and valued.
break down barriers:

A smile on your face will have a Positive Ripple Effect, a chain reaction of love and kindness and it most certainly will give you, the Smile Giver, a feeling of self-care and well being.
Smiling can also have a positive impact on your own well-being, by reducing stress and promoting a sense of happiness.

give a smile, get a smile and Pay It Forward
It's easy, we all have one, its free and always with us.
our smile is spoken and understood in all languages, in every country on our planet

Multi-Media

Multi Media is using photos and paintings/drawings together.
I cut the flowers out of the photo and drew on a layer behind them.
Because I could

somewhere I saw a heart that someone had drawn a half of a heart and then cut a flower out and shaped it as the other side of the heart.
my version is drawing the flower half and using a flower brush to draw the other.
My fodder barrel is empty and so is my brain

Sunday Selfie with Beau

Sorry Mom, this is all I got, just stop with the cell phone and get on with your business
Just SCROLL
Down
Down
Down
TA-Da behold Mama's Business

She was about to mop the kitchen floor and I was in my ready, get set, Go to cheer her on when she suddenly grabbed the cell and took this picture.

I said Mama no one wants to see my back side, and she said, Beau this is the first time in 36 years that i have mopped the kitchen with out Philomena hanging in the corner.
You see Mama and Hurricane Milton, murdered Philomena, and I watched her stuff the body in the trash can.
this is a photo of the kitchen from 2017

Philomena is the plant in the corner, and I first hung it there in 1990

Mama told me she hung the plant there the 2nd year they were in this house and about 4 times since then, Daddy has repotted it when it started to look scraggly.  Daddy would take it out and dump it on the ground and break in half then re-pot and hang it back up. and within a short couple of months Philomena would be gorgeous again.
Mama said to tell you she is so sorry and embarrassed to admit that during the three hurricanes in 2024, five months ago, she forgot to water it for 3 weeks. the plant thrives on 1 cup of water every Saturday morning. Part of the death was caused by all the HOT weather NO rain and Mama left the blinds open, Philomena needs LIGHT not direct sun. no water, too much sun was
The Murder Weapon
She cut it back thinking it would help but a few days ago, Philomena passed away, her leaves fell off, she was dropping rusty water things on the floor and mama declared her unable to be resuscitated.
We could continued, because some of Philomena's children live in the front yard by the porch, and could be potted in the same pot, butt she says she just can't take care of it any longer. she forgets to water it.
Children are now growing in front yard.

Mama says if she re-pots these kids and hang them in the kitchen, they will die. As you can see, she doesn't even pull weeds or get the leaves out of the bed outside.
PS from Da Mama of Beau... this frog can't die, ceramic is forever, it survived 3 hurricanes with not a scratch and it belonged to my mother, made by my Aunt Helen back in the distant 70's and moved here in 1990 from Mothers house in Savannah, Ga.
PSS from me, did you notice she found a way to steal MY selfie Sunday hoping I would no notice?

Say What? on Caturday art day

My long-time blogger friend, Ann, sent me the above left and said she was going to copy it. I quickly grabbed the iPad and the one on the left took 30 seconds.
I decided to see what popped in my head and started to PLAY

Do you think this will sell for millions after I am dead and gone? 😁

Another long-time blogger friend' Yam said to me a few days ago, just let your mind roam and paint what you feel. YIKES.  This is what happened when I did that.

I started with a basket and 4 screaming /singing? eggs, I was carefully fitting the eggs in the basket when bob saw it, just the bottom of the basket and 4 eggs. As I sat drawing the basket below, Bob looked over at the screen and said why are you drawing that!!!? I answered I don't Know..... let me know in comments if you KNOW the answer because I don't KNOW.
I stared at the question marks and thought, I think I will see what I can add to this.
If you guessed I would add 2 of the 3 bunnies I drew a couple of weeks ago. you win the prize.
Of course there is NO PRIZE unless you want a copy emailed to you.
HEH HE HEH...

Feline Friday on Nature Friday

Dan's Feline used to be Feral, Bandit, Living the life out of nature and into the house with a view of nature out the window. he can watch his siblings playing in the backyard while sunbathing.  The General Store is Dan's workshop, and also holds the over flow of his collections of weird things. It looks close but is about 25 feet from the bedroom window. Michelle's computer is beside the window in the corner and this is his eye on mama and the out doors

For Nature Friday I give you archive photos from our back yard.

Cuban Tree Frog, also know as the loudest frogs EVER except I was louder when one jumped on my bare chest, and clung there with those sucky feet.

Lenard our huge male brown anole

tiny ring neck snake, full grown. holding hands belong to Bob

I followed this Black Racer snake around the backyard taking photos, see he is looking at me. They are fast

this is another one that I followed in the side yard and he climbed the fence like lightning, weaving in and out of the fence and gone in a flash into the front yard. I warned him to be careful, its a busy street and not all humans like snakes.
