UPDATE Bob and now ME

ME first... Because I spend the majority of my time on my feet, taking care of the three of us, my veins have gotten much worse on my right foot and swells until I sit down and prop them up.  In the midst of the Infusion Chaos, which has shown no improvement yet, my Third Keratoacanthoma Skin Cancer (volcano cancer) in 14 months decided to erupt 3 hours before the doctors shut down for the 3 day week end of the 4th. The 2nd day of Bob's infusion, I went to my primary, because we need a referral this year and did not last year. The PA said it was infected sore, I said it is a carcinoma and I need a referral, she gave me antibiotics and salve, and said come back in a week. I WAS IN  PAIN. the meds helped but only a little.

The phone rang and it was the appt girl from primary doctor calling me, and she said Sandra do you still want the referral to dermatologist, I said yes please, I know what this is. 20 minutes later the phone rang and for the first time in my health history it was my Primary Doctor, Dr. B and she said, Sandra Tell me what is going on with you.
I did and she said, I am sending the referral now, call them in 30 minutes and get in as soon as  you can, I called and they said be here today at 4:30, and I was and she cut it off and sent the biopsy off and now we wait to work through the needle with chemo in it that will make it stay gone and die.
If you care you like details, the label Volcano Cancer tells of on on Shin bone, May, 2024 and another right after hurricane Milton in Oct 24 and now this one on my wrist
3 Volcanoes in 14 months. The chemo kills them and they fall off.
While all this was going on with ME Bob bullied his way into the pool that all the nurses and pts said do not go in and sprained his ankle and now he can not walk and we missed his 7 am doc appt because he could not get in the car.
I have yet to get through to the doctor, so we are waiting.
Its almost 9 and I have 4 calls to be made to Doctors, Lawyers and Indian Chiefs.

Good grief, Sandra. You're worn out, but at least you got the cancer taken care of. You need a break. Prayers to you, my friend. Scritches to Beau. ♥

Dear sweet friend I'm so sorry for all this. Thankful that you got the area taken care of on your arm. Bob, as we have said in the past, is his own worst enemy and now yours.
Many prayers
Cecilia

Oh my, your ankle looks painful. Just one more thing you do not need right now. I'm glad that the doctors responded so fast so that you could get that volcano cancer taken care of.

I'm (just about) out of words! What you're living sounds like the (not so) Perfect Storm. I'm reminded of the line, ""Fate whispers to the warrior, 'You cannot survive the storm.' The warrior whispers back, 'I am the storm.'"

Thanking God for your sweet primary doctor's swift actions. Unlike that witch Jon talked about in his last post (Lone Wolf Concerto). Keep fighting and we'll keep praying!

Oh dear... I read your No 2 update before this one and now I see there's even more you have to deal with all at the same time. Can only hope/pray that you'll continue to find helpful people when you need them. - One thought that crossed my mind when I see your poor foot: Have you tried "diabetic socks", made of stretchy bamboo material. I don't have major problems with swollen feet or legs myself but back in winter I was searching for knee socks and then came across these and I love them. Mine are all knee high but I see they have ankle socks as well. I bought mine from a Swedish company but I just had a look at Amazon and they have them as well - just write diabetic socks and you'll find examples. I'm thinking that maybe they'd be *somewhat* helpful for you as well as they give a gentle pressure without being too tight. ♥

I read your later comment before I read this one, Sandra. They are throwing everything at you. If anyone can handle it, it is you, but it’s not fair.

Hang in there. At least you got prompt service on the skin carcinoma. Make time regularly to get the foot up - would a compression sock help for when you can't stop to rest it?

We're so sorry to hear you are having to go through all of this. At least your primary care doctor must have seen notes from your visit with the PA and acted instead of making you wait like the PA wanted you to.
