Ghost in the house...

Can you find the ghost of Bob?? His favorite glass was sitting on the counter and I had an idea for a POST... to tell the story I needed a photo... When I realized he was IN THE GLASS, I Snapped! Twice.
Can you see the Hand ON The HIP pose when he realized the camera was aimed at him? I think he looks quite handsome as a ghost in a glass....

Bob loves his glass, we have had it for years and years. For some reason, people who drive down the street love to see if they can break glass in our drive way. Sometimes they leave a 6 pack of bottles sitting there, sometimes they break beer bottles and sometimes they just throw whatever out. Bob has 2 towels, 2 t-shirts and this glass that he SAVED.   It was Meant To Be for him to save this glass, because someone threw it in the middle of the concrete driveway and it survived...  Now I wish someone would throw a new computer out there for me.....

Twas a Dark and Stormy Night

photo by Justin Battles, it was on Fox 13, this is the storm I AM TALKING ABOUT. Sunshine Skyway

Monday July 23, It was a dark and stormy night early AM, 5:30 in fact... We stayed home from the YMCA for the sake of lightning! I and my trusty laptop, on battery and not plugged into electric outlet, were ensconced in the rocker, reading emails.

The master was in the kitchen cooking breakfast, KA BAM!

I say "Did you hear THAT one?"
(Thunder is on the list of things he can't hear)

Yes! heard THAT one! he turns from the stove and walks to the sliding glass door,

PICTURE THIS!
KA BAM! The whole kitchen lit up, we saw the bolt just the other side of the pool...The walls shook, the windows rattled.

He jumped at least 2 feet off the floor.... Rolling on floor laughing,  I said did you SEE and HEAR that one???

Back in early 2000 something or other, our church was hit by lightning and it took out every thing in the church that was plugged into electric.  AC, sound system, computers and Range and Fridge in the kitchen, Dishwasher to. The Fridge caught fire inside, but with door closed all it did was burn it from inside out. When the door opened the entire inside was burnt black... can you say healthy fear of lightning?

We lost two trees to lighting, 3 years apart. Cost 1200 to take down the 1st and 1500 for the 2nd. OF COURSE Homeowners did not cover it. IT HAS TO FALL ON THE HOUSE to be covered., 🤢

this brought to mind a MEMORY from 1985, Bob and I were standing at the window of our home in St Petersburg, watching our crazy neighbor. Frank was washing his Porsche in a thunder storm, in his driveway with a bucket of soapy water.

As we watched and tried to decide if Frank had a Brain in his head.. so stupid, what a nut.. can you believe this??? KA POW! KA POW!
a double bolt of lighting hit the ground, sparks flew, about 2 feet from HUS feet and he almost jumped higher than the roof of the car.... as he raced inside his house we fell into roars of laughter....

IN FLORDIA we Watch out for lightning. we live in the lightning capital of the US.....
Central Florida is the most lethal  for lightning in USA... and Central Florida IS THE MOST Lethal. We live smack in the middle of it..... AD DING THIS LINK to what it CAN do..HERE

Florida Autumn Colors

Sunday morning at 5 after 7 AM, Jake and I stepped out into our back yard to wait on daybreak with enough light to chase tennis balls . I watch the sun come up each morning through a tiny space in our trees that surround the yard. My breathe caught in my throat and I thought run Sandra run.....

I slammed the sliding glass door back and almost knocked Hubby down as I raced inside, grabbed the camera off the kitchen table, raced down the hall and grabbed pants and shirt ( I was still in night attire and do not own a robe since we live in Florida, yes we do have privacy fence). I almost missed it trying to get my OLD legs into the pants at 90 MPH.

This is what greeted me from the double yellow line directly in front of our house. In order to SEE the sunrise I must Stand in the middle of our street.
see below for view of yellow lines I stood on as I backed down the street to catch my neighbors palm in the shot

These two are the same photo, see the Stop Sign and the Light Pole by our driveway  above photo

I removed the sign and post in above photo.
******
by noon on Sunday this is what we had for temps and the reason we have no autumn colors

The End (for now)

Which direction???

do you know the streets you drive on?
If you are out walking and you fell down and you had to call for help would you say I'm on 18th Avenue and 18th Avenue Drive West
or would you say to your husband on the other end of the phone I'm in front of the house where the pitbulls lived.
I'm in front of the two-story house I'm in front of the house where the darn dog lived
Just come to the 2 story house that is behind our house!
What if you were down and wanted to say help, I've fallen and I can't get up and you called 911 and they asked what is your address?
I would say I am on 17th ave drive west and the house I can see says 3801.

Bob would say, go to my home address, walk out the driveway and turn left and then left again.
at the 4 way stop, turn left again..
or maybe he would say
You know the road that goes to Publix? I am on that road and close to the one that goes by the school.
Got it?
He can find and address if you give it to him, and if you take him someplace ONE time he can find it again 5 years later. He can't tell you how to get there, but he can go like a homing pigeon.
I need and address.
When he tells me something he saw, he says, what is the street we take to the hospital. I say 21st Ave. Right.
or the road to the doctor. I don't know why or where I am going with this.
Closing with Just Sayin
as for the goofy photos, I had to try out the cell to see if it takes NOOK and Glass and Lights photos
Just so I know
