Me and our beloved dog Max, deceased 2002. Photo scanned, taken in the olden days of FILM 1984 |
This wonderful Staghorn Fern (some might call it Elkhorn fern) resides on the pole Bob built for the long deceased swing. Seems the swing needed shelter from the Florida humidity.

Beautiful!
That's a great photo of you and Max!
Those are the coolest ferns, I wish they would grow outside here. Great close ups of the fronds.
That was a tricky one, a swing. Now the staghorns have a swing instead. Nice close ups of the fern's details. It is a beauty.
Awesome! Love the pic of you and Max!
Sometimes I miss the film cameras ~ the anticipation and surprise of what your photos were going to look like. But, I must admit, digital would be hard to move away from!
Fun shots Sandra!

Such a sweet pic of you and Max! I did guess this fern. I remembered it from another post. :) These are great close-ups! You can see the veins in the leaves...so cool!
Bob definitely got creative, and although I'm sorry to hear about the swing, the ferns are beautiful.
Oh, that is wonderful...after I looked closer I thought it might be the ends of the ropes I was seeing that didn't look like much weight...but still, I would never have imagined this.
Your closeups always amaze me at the beauty you capture in textures, shapes, shades and tints that not all of us even notice without your help.
This Staghorn is a magnificent display!! And I love the way you caught it with some green still showing through the dead leaves. You are a BABE!!
love that photo of you...awesome...
Wow, that is one huge fern and very cool looking.
I've been wanting a swing for a couple years now. Ever since my last one bit the dust...lol Maybe this year I'll buy myself one
You and Max look a great pair together..It is so sad to loose a beloved pet, yet Max had a long life because he was well loved.
Staghorns are amazing. I owned one only once although they are seen in our rainforest's.I used to feed mine fruit and vegetable scraps.
It is beautiful Sandra - wish you had the swing too - looked like fun - beautiful gal sitting there. sandie
