La Lawn Man - La Chef

I took these two shots through the front window glass and screen, JUST BECAUSE I could....

I do love La Chef! He makes his own breakfast here and above he is mulching leaves...NOTE the bare feet, we do live in Florida

He is a real help around the house... I would be lost if I had to do all he does.

BUT I do have a pet peeve connected to him but not caused by him.

A few days before Christmas in MY email, (La Chef has no email address) appeared this letter...

from our bank,

 addressed to  Robert.

ONLY Robert. Not Me, Not both of us.

Just Robert.

Dear Robert, we want to thank YOU... yada yada yada... we look forward to continue offering YOU the rewards YOU deserve... yada yada All the best to you and YOURS..
NOTE: please have access id/pin number when calling your Platinum Service Center.....

I ranted and raved about my pet peeve for at least half an hour....NOT the first rant/rave.

I am E-ME, He is NOT  E anything and I am also on the bank account.

I do all banking, all bill paying, all check writing.

and he has no idea what an access ID or pin number IS.... the email address they have is MINE and has my name on it...

SO WHY DO THEY ADDRESS THE LETTER TO ROBERT.

NOTE: I am not even mentioned in the letter unless you count the you and YOURS....

I must be the YOURS and I am HIS but I am not just a YOURS

.. Color me PEEVED to the MAX.

NOTE: all snail mail from our bank comes address to ROBERT...

WOW! Sandra, we have soooo much in common...the Pres cooks, the Pres mows and when "stuff" comes to he, who cannot even sign on to a computer,in email form, I relay it to HIM and then ask HOW HE would like to respond!...:)JP

that would seriously annoy me also. I get
Here's the one that makes me mad. Our local fire department sends out letters for their fund drive every year. The one that is delivered to my house, that is in my name and even the phone number listed in the phone book for this address is mine, that letter comes addressed to my ex husband. He hasn't lived here for a very long time.

I would rant about that too! I am also thankful for all the things my husband does around the house.

This reminds me of how I am treated when looking at cars...totally ignored unless my dh is along. It's a man's world.

Just remember, If there is any action for any non payment. You can tell them "see Robert" LOL.

I almost forgot. They don't even know who I am at the bank or credit union. I had an experience at the Credit Union the teller knew me and my wife really well and she asked me "does your wife know you are here". LOL

I understand you. TOH is similar, well not really, he cooks but doesn't mow or do anything in the garden. He spends a lot of time in front of his computer but doesn't do any banking or bill paying, even when he wants to buy on line I have to show him. But what peeves me is when I ring companies to make enquiries about an account I get, " I need to speak to the primary card holder" or "You are not registered to discuss this on the phone can I speak to TOH" So then I have to explain the problem to both of them! Pah

La Chef is most handy a man who cooks for himself is a keeper and helps around the house. B helps around the house but has never learned to cook but that is ok I like to cook
Your post is a hoot to Robert

Don't be too hung up on the email. You know they probably have his name first in the database so they put it electronically into the mail, and then they have your email in their files so they send it to you. If this were done by an actual human I would be mad, but since this is just another example of technology ruling over us. :)

None of that stuff is worth getting peeved over ~ just think about where it came from. BOA for heaven's sake, what would you expect? Actually, from their form letter writing computers. If they run away with your money, then you should get peeved. That's such a funny word, peeved. Sorry, please do not take me too seriously.

Bob is a most handy man to have around. My hubs works and I don't so all of that stuff I do which is fine with me, he does take care of the vehicles and all things mechanical (except my lawnmower which I can fix pretty much any problem with it).

The first name on the account is the one the system grabs, it's nothing personal. Hubs says if he had to do any banking they would ask him for id and a note from me since they don't know him except by name.

BG does all the mowing, I do all the cooking, except for grilling outside which he will do.

What really irks me is when I call our insurance companies they will not talk to me even though I write out the checks for the premiums. If he is beside me and gives permission, then they will talk to me! I also do all the banking, etc.

That was not very fair was it? Glad that he does a lot around the house and garden :) Funny how he bend up his toes while making his breakfast. It just looks so nice and warm there...(dreamy face)
Have a fantastic Sunday!
Hugs,
Eva

Understand exactly how you feel, Sandra. When my ex and I applied for a mortgage, the bank rep shook his hand and spoke to him ignoring me, and I was the one putting the down payment! Pat and i have different last names as I never changed mine, and now this rarely happens. if it did AND it bothered me, I would contact the bank folks and set them straight about using your name and Bob's. Also be cautious of any bank emails that look suspicious as rhey could be fraud/phishing ones. We have had a couple false ones that I forwarded to the BOA fraud dept. after a phone call.

I know what you mean...I hate when they do that...when 2 people are on an account they both should be mentioned...my hubby does none of the bill paying or banking either...

Either you or someone else ranted about something like this sometime in the past....I must say I understand how you feel.

Oh the days when your banker knew you personally and did not communicate solely by some complicated client software.

Some glitch wouldn't let me comment on your pool paramedic post (I do love alliteration!) and I just wanted to note that the most recent rescue is the prettiest. Of course I am prejudiced in favor of butterflies. Good job.
