To Blog or Not to blog Part 2

I monkeyed with Curly, a distant relative of our chameleons, in PicMonkey, because I could
I have yet to get a photo of a chameleon, they run really fast and live in our garage.

If you are reading this post, you are one in a Chameleon! There are a chameleon reasons I love all of you.... Have I made myself Clear? said the Chameleon as he stood in front of a sheet of glass

Now that I have stirred up all those wonderful comments yesterday, I never intended to STOP, I just periodically Think about it. I sit back and THINK about why.

Here are The Reasons I Blog....
Daily Contact with friends I feel I have known, even though we never meet.
Fulfils  my desire to write and create.

Gives me a reason to play in software, which is exercise for my brain.

Life is Boring, if I don't, and I wake up to NO emails to answer.

I love punning.. I like to have a little Pun.
(How good are you at Power Point? I excel in it!)

I love talking and I can't tell if you turn and walk away, shaking your head at what I say.
I can just blather on and on and on and on...............
Tell Me Why You Blog, please.

Pretty much all the reasons you gave Sandra - except instead of puns, for me it is using my philosophical skills to occasionally dig deeper and provide brain fodder for my readers. Thankfully, they seem to enjoy my eclectic mix! YAM xx

Whew!!!
The short version? I blog because no-one else will listen. (Seriously, Tom and my kids could care less.) I'm not normally given to mingling - and superficial chatter that goes with it, so cyber friendships are my happy place.

To quote a good friend, "Daily Contact with friends I feel I have known, even though we never meet.

Yes, you've said it all...
Blogging is all about enjoying friends, sharing my very non professional photography, and finding out about other peoples lives.
It's my creative outlet.
I sure am glad you were just musing and will continue to be puny .

Pretty much the same :) Before blogging, I used to write letters, and used to put my photos into albums (and friends who came to visit would look at them sometimes)... Through blogging, I can keep in touch with more people, share more photos, and learn more things... :)

I love the last part, it is hilarious!!! Gave me a good laugh! Blather on, my friend, I am listening...er..reading. The chameleon and glass is my favorite joke today. Wow, they are living in your garage! Some of them can turn brilliant aqua. I have NEVER thought of them as being fast! Whenever I see them, they walk so slowly and purposefully! One foot in front of the other.

You forgot one reason... because you entertain Ann with your puns and your photos.
I blog for pretty much the same reasons. I started it because I would get myself in a funk and sit and do absolutley nothing and feel sorry for myself. By blogging it forced me to focus on something else and to find something positive to write about. I keep blogging because of the wonderful people I have met.

Oh good. I may not always comment on your blog, but you are considered as one of my friends.
Why do I blog? It is a way to share my many pictures with others. I have some good friends in Blogland that I do not want o lose contact with. It causes me to think about what I will say and ,like you say, keeps the mind sharper.

I feel the same way, I love the friends I've made and looks forward to seeing what's going in their lives.

Same reasons, but I don't have your stellar record for consistency. Nor do I have your relationship with software. and keep those puns coming!

I totally get the blogger connection and wish I had the eyesight left to be more but screens now challenge me so I will try whenever I can to stop by.

I am interested in every day people. I doubt any one like the Royals, President, or even the Gates sort fabric. And went in the mountain and had a wonderful time with there mate.
A lease by blogging we can tell our story.

My blog is really my online journal and I never dreamed anyone but family and close friends would read it. I keep a daily Country Diary as well, so I guess I am a recorder of Life....my life. The bonus is all the friends I have found. My life is richer for meeting you and sharing our lives with each other.

I had a blog about my hobby of reading which I enjoyed because I could review books and hear what others thought of a book and I also had a general blog recording my life. I couldn't keep them up so I scrapped them, but found that I missed the blog friendships gained from blogging.
I started a fresh blog and have continued to this day, making lots of friends along the way such as you, dear Sandra. Life wouldn't be the same without being in contact with my blog friends and being able to write about what's going on in my life. Some bloggers come and some go, but I'm glad that you're still blogging. Your comments on my blog are very precious to me. I'm so glad that Bob is recovering from the surgery. I know you'll take good care of him, but remember to take good care of yourself too my friend.

You hit the nail on the head, Sandra, and the first reasons you listed are the same for me. I enjoy writing and sharing about things in our lives...family, travel, random thoughts, photos. Many bloggers have become “friends” who though we may never meet are still part of our lives. We have been fortunate to have met a few during years of blogging and are even able to get together with one and her family whenever we visit PA. And on our current road trip, we have met a blogger who lives in the same area as a family member, so we now look forward to future visits when in GA. Blogging is all about people and what we share and learn from and about each other. Like you, I sometimes have thoughts about giving it up, but the fact is I would miss it because it is my only form of social online contact as a non-FB user. My main gripe is the constant spammers who can ruin blogging for many folks. But they will not deter me as I have become very diligent about checking and deleting their worthless comments. Let’s keep on having fun and thanks Sandra for always being so creative and positive.
