Clever Me part 2

In yesterdays post, you saw my clever way to travel a thousand miles to see Colonial Williamsburg. By Calendar was the answer... Have you ever had your favorite calendar tear at the hole where it hangs on the nail? It falls off the wall.

Clever Me put a large paper clip there and it hangs perfectly.... Then clever me after putting appointments on the correct day, stores the little handy dandy reminder cards from the appointmet givers under said paper clip, on the correct month. It is a visual reminder to check the boxes when I turn the page to current month....

Clever Puns, just for you.

She had a photographic memory, but she never developed it.

A whiteboard is so remarkable!

To whomever invented the zero, thanks for nothing.

This is indeed clever. You have the best ideas! I do not, I have almost no imagination. Our big calendar hangs in one of those decorative wooden frames, so it serves as wall decoration too.

At home my calendar is a desk one but at work I have one hanging and that always happens with the holes. I usually put a piece of masking tape over the hole and then punch through it. I'll have to try the paperclip trick.

HAH - I too do this - the paperclip thing. I don't get appointment cards, but I might pass that part on to the father as a hint. YAM xx

Hello,

We write all our appointments on the kitchen calendar. Your paperclip idea is great idea. Wishing you a happy day!

Guess I've been clever for quite a while now. (paperclips) ;)
Oh wait. Maybe not. I wasn't so clever yesterday when I thought you had hidden your face in each of those photos and was staring at them trying to find you. I guess you meant you were at all those 'places'. Duh.

Great idea. I usually staple the appointment card to the bottom of the calendar page of the month the appointment is in. This is especially useful when I get 6 month ahead appointments for like the dentist, etc. I never thought about the paper clip- that is very useful.

Such a great idea. Hubby uses his phone to store all his appointments, but I still have my paper calendar!

Phones are great for storing information but I love my calendar that sits right on my table by my computer.
It actually becomes sort of a journal too.
Paper clips is a great and simple idea for sure.
Love the puns.
Hope your day goes well.

I did not notice the looks on people's faces because I was so busy watching the dogs. They are so affectionate and obedient (the dogs, not the people). But you are right, not many smiles. I had a huge grin on my face the whole time!! I was just tickled pink. Anyway, one thing I didn't post was that when an owner would lie or sit, and feel lonely, they would make one hand motion, and the dog would lay on them and hug them. It's just so different from watching it on T.V., with the dogs right there.

I also did think the black dogs, one was named Black Pearl, looked a lot like your Big. Made me think of him. They only use labs because they are just so amazing and adaptable.

2 birds with one stone … clever, indeed! Do you save your calendars then, as a visual diary for later reference?

Unfortunately, our kitchen has NO wall space sufficient to hang even an 8-1/2 x 11 calendar. Instead, I print a monthly template off MS Word and affix to the side of our fridge with a magnetic paper clip.

What a great idea! I'm going to use that tip. Thanks Sandra!

Some good ideas that I will try to remember in case I need them.

Ever clever Sandra indeed! I have to follow the links, but whatever the "experts" say, your solutions to everyday aggravations seem to indicate a mind in excellent working condition. Excessive screen time for me definitely will put a dent in relationships and keeping up with needed exercise. All that typing with my middle finger of left hand hardly counts as exercise!

Great idea! I love my calendar and pocket calendar. I haven't given in to using my phone calendar.
