That memorial is quite humbling. When we were there, I couldn't get over the silence surrounding...tears flowed when I found Frank's name. (My high school sweetheart)

Wherever we are we can stop and remember the fallen who have given their lives so we can live in a free society.
Perfect! Poignant, and powerful too. I've not seen it in person, but these images of the Viet Nam wall still have the power to make my eyes water. Like NYC's 9/11 memorial, I don't know that I could be strong enough to visit.

Beautiful images, Sandra. I visited the traveling Vietnam memorial and was overcome with heartache for all those lives lost. So sad. At the VA the vets I volunteer with are Vietnam vets. xo Diana
What a wonderful post honoring all our fallen heroes!
The photos in this post sure pulled emotions to the forefront as I thought of classmates and the brothers of friends.
Thank you to all those who have served, and died, for our freedom and way of living.
In the UK, memorial Sunday is the closest Sunday to November 11.
