Triple Threat

While browsing through cleaning YouTube videos, I found one that showed how to clean a really dirty sink.
Mind you mine is cleaned once a week and never gets really dirty, BUT there was one spot that just never looked sparkly clean.
The secret formula was
Sprinkle comet on sink, sprinkle a little water on it, She used a spray bottle, I used my fingers.
Wet a Mr Clean Eraser, put a small dot of Dawn on it
and scrub away! The spot disapeared instantly.
I spent an hour walking around the house with the eraser and dawn.
Cleaned the toaster and toaster oven, the spots on the door that opens into the garage.
PLUS all that scrubbing is EXCERCISE!
I have another story about the eraser to share, coming soon to a blog near you

If you are pondering just why I was browsing cleaning videos, I do it once in a while because I have learned a few tricks doing it....
Plus, I can't play in software all the time!
OF COURSE MURPHYS LAW said I only had ONE eraer in the house.
At WM I stood making a decision.
A box of 9 or a box of 6 or a box of 2.
The Math gave me a headache... 2 @ $1,
6 @ .82 cents
9 @ 77¢
WHY IS THERE NO CENT THINGY?
well guess what? ater searching on laptop, hold down alt key and type 0162, but then how will I rember that number?
I decided to go with the box of 9. As I unloaded my supplies I foudn I had bout both the 6 and the 9.
I check myself out, why did I not notice I had two boxes?

Nope! will not be having a giveaway! 15 of them is fine with me. Do you use these wonder erasers?

I cannot WAIT till your next tip. A couple days ago, I mixed up a concoction that took the tarnish right offmu stainless flatware. And I have mixed up special stain remover for clothes, too. Yes, we have several kinds of Magic Erasers. If you are not careful, they take the paint right off the wall!! But they will not cut thru a thick layer of gunk on the shower doors. I have been thinking of using one on the toaster oven glass door, but don't know if I should use it on glass. Of cOURSE you bought both boxes, you had been comparing them. Makes perfect sense to me.

Hey, at least you had them when you got home. For some reason I sometimes buy things and they disappear before I can get them in the apartment. I know I've bought them because they're on the sales receipt. Another of the mysteries of the universe... Andy and I find there are more and more of them as we get older and older. :)

I'm interested in those cleaning products different from what you can get here. I think I recognise Mr Clean who is Mr Muscle here. Mostly I use lemon cream cleaner for cleaning that needs more than a wipe. I like lemon as I'm allergic to other fragrances.

I use the same combination except instead of comet, mine's Ajax.

Hello,

I love the magic erasers, you can't have too many of them. There are still times I go to Walmart and the shelf is empty. I keep one in the kitchen and one in each of the bathrooms. Take care, enjoy your day!

¢ I had to try that out because I will never again be able to do that. I can never remember all those keyboard shortcuts.
I don't use the magic erasers but now I want to go buy some and try out the comet, dawn, magic eraser trick. I'm sure I have plenty of things around the house I could try it on.

I do have them with my cleaning products but I use a spray called Awesome from Dollar Tree the most. It will take out any stain or clean anything. Give it a try next time you're in a Dollar Tree, can't beat it especially for $1

I have paper taped over the touchpad of my computer. I write down the alt keys that I can't remember.....funny thing, somewhere I was typing something and one of them no longer worked, I have not thought to try it again. I found alternater numbers that did work. The degrees sign.

I have t in my head for the copyright and don't need to look it up, but have for ½ and ¼, though they are so small I had just about as soon write them the other way...1/2, 1/4...but also have for the degrees...°...

I love the erasers. They are amazing but the issue I have is using one for a small spot and then not having anything else to use it up on. Seems like I waste a lot. They have the whips now and been thinking about trying them. DAWN...that stuff is rather amazing. Here is a post that I did a few days back. https://pam-lifethroughmyeyes.blogspot.com/2020/08/my-likes-and-dislikes-of-products.html. I use a mix of DAWN and other stuff on glass shower doors that is great. And it worked fantastic on removing skunk smell from Chey. Can't believe though that I waited to be 60 before finding out how good it is. Have fun cleaning....I for one am not doing that today! I feel the calling to paint!!!

This is better than "Hints from Heloise"! (Remember that syndicated newspaper column?) For some reason, I've not had much success with the Magic Eraser. Then again, I've only tried using it with tap water. I'm going to do your Triple Threat next time.

PS - Like Martha said, my new favorite cleaning product is Dollar Tree's "Awesome."

Sandra, you always make me smile.
I love the erasers and use them all the time. Never thought about using Dawn with them on those hard to clean spots.
Your house is so shiny clean now I can see it from here.
My next project is to do the eraser thing on the inside of my dishwasher. It doesn't drain completely and I have to siphon it out after using it...hence slight residue sometimes...too hot to do it today BUT...it will get done.

I enjoy looking at those cleaning YouTube videos. We have used them a lot for minor repairs also and they are great. I am bookmarking this post as I need a few tough spots around here, and there is a place on the garage door that won't shift even with a lot of elbow grease. Thanks for the tip! I have never used Mr. Clean erasers before but funnily enough I put them on my shopping list this week, and now you've sealed the deal. Thanks Sandra :)

I'm laughing so hard I can't write a comment that will make sense. So since I have both Comet and Dawn at home, I will put the magic eraser on my shopping list for next time. A clean sink is a good thing, after all. And you are awesome for writing this funny post.

I do use the magic erasers and they work like a charm. I will have to try the comet solution on a few stubborn spots in the tub.

years ago bought a couple Magic Erasers and then never used them, I have been using baking soda and vinegar and vodka (not all together) for many household chores vs, buying many store cleaning products. That said, one of my favorites and always used is bar Keeper's friend to clean the stainless steel sink and some classware too like the coffee pot. Thanks for these tips, which may come in handy if I can only remember them.

We have had to do that on our shower floor. Mark just cleaned it. I certainly can't do it, it needs major scrubbing. I do the walls and glass. Anyway we just ordered a square shower mat and that should help with our dirty floor in the shower. They sell little sheets now too!

No magic eraser as I read content is not safe. I use baking soda and carbonated water. It takes a bit of time but works well. We rarely use Comet powder but we do have it.
