Caturday Art My Kitchen Window

I am so happy, I have my kitchen window back and the kitchen is flooded with light. For 5 years the window Air Conditioner sat in that window blocking the light and making the kitchen dark.

I will be taking Sundays off for a few weeks. See you Monday

I love your kitchen and the cool artistic edts you made. It reminds me a bit of mine. The same kind of valance over the window. WHY has the unit been removed, and why was it there in the first place? I take it that you needed air conditioning in the kitchen, and now you don't? I love your fat glass jar with the opening in front.

I can well understand you missed your kitchen window when you had to have it blocked.

Hooray for a window with sunshine. I like the edit of your kitchen. At first I thought you had some really cool painting technique done on your walls.

Hello Sandra I love your kitchen and also need to ask: why was the unit there and why isn't it there now? I LOVE the retro-looking object in the corner. Is it a microwave. I love love love your kitchen. Makes me nostalgic for the beautiful kitchen I had in my previous life in Marquard. Thanks for visiting my blog always. xx

The more light the better.you have sunshine, we have gloom. I love our big picture windows everywhere and we can always close the blinds if necessary. Enjoy your Sunday off.

Your kitchen is uncluttered. I like this. I like to be able to clean without junk everywhere.

I'm so taken by this first image! The clean, crisp look of that valance and I love the white cabinets. So akin to what my mother favored while in Port Charlotte.
Funny, I remember when she'd visit and pull back the curtains in my house -- and I'd later go around closing them. For some reason I can't bear to think of someone outside looking in.
Little things mean a lot, don't they?

Hello Sandra,:=) I'm always happy when you are happy!!:=) Plenty of light in the kitchen is essential, especially if it's natural light, as long as it isn't too hot in the warmer months! I like your neat and tidy looking kitchen too.

I admire you and the rest of the bloggers who blog every day. I would get nothing done, but then I don't get much done now when I blog three or four times a week. I miss so many posts, I know that, but I feel I need the time for myself here. Enjoy your Sundays.

I agree with you...I don't care for things blocking the light. And I love how flipping creative you are!! I'm still "take it as is" but that's who I am...:)jp

The question is - where did the AC unit go???
I'm so happy for you getting your window back! You are an artist with your edits! The original pic is beautiful and I know how much you love your kitchen!

It's an awesome window! Can't imagine you not being able to see out of it because of an air conditioner.

Looks very like a "Better Homes and Gardens" kitchen to me. I hope that a year from now I am still not thinking about getting rid of our gummy narrow-slat venetian blinds and have actually put up the new cafe curtains I've had lying around for about a year.
